Nice hike up to this point. A lot of people in the trail, but it is worth the trip. If you don't have time to go all the way to Yosemite Falls this is a great spot to get some nice photos and head back down. Not an easy hike. It is up the entire way.

1 mile of switchbacks each way. Yes, you can pull off the road anywhere in Yosemite and see comparable views, but everyone knows burning thighs make the view just a tad bit better. 4 stars for a 2 miler.

Adventurous!! If you are planning to hike to Columbia rock in snow, make sure you have got snow boots or shoe chains. Took us 4hrs round trip with half an hour at the viewing area for lunch.
