My husband and I (from the UK) have been there twice already and going there again tonight. We both absolutely loved our ribeye steaks! We are going to order them again tonight, I guess)). Medium rare was perfect for us. My husband also ordered colossal prawns for his starter once and those were absolutely delicious. Price-wise we found it relatively reasonable compared to $70 we paid for one medium and one small pizza with two beers in Curry village pizza place in the park. So, for us, it was the only place in the valley to have nice dinners. Mind it is also convenient because we are staying in they valley)).

Good food and drinks, but laughable portions for the price. $16 for 7 wings, 3 sticks of celery and a tiny cup of ranch and BBQ to dip in. $6 for a sliver of cheesecake. $9 for a G&T. All tasted great (quite a stiff drink, so that may be worth it), but should have cost 60% of what is charged. Also, the current menu doesn't have nachos like the reviews here show. I understand covid is a thing and staff may be limited, but charging this much for food that comes in plastic that you order in line at the bar is a bit ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just a cheap dirtbag and this place is beyond my pay grade

The Mountain Room Lounge is located inside Yosemite National Forest and surrounded by the lodges and accommodation. Seating yourself is quite awkward because you need to hang around and wait until someone finishes eating and drinking and leaves their table. It is supposed to be first in to get the next table but people literally run and fight each other when they see the next free table. We were recommended to eat the nachos by the front desk staff when we checked in, however they were not that great. The food was pretty ordinary and I would not go there again.

After an underwhelming dinner at The Mountain Room, my dad and I decided to head over to The Mountain Room Lounge for a few drinks—and let me tell you, this was the experience we were hoping for all along.

Our server, Jessi, was absolutely fabulous. She was friendly, social, and genuinely fun to talk with. Not only did she have great drink recommendations, but she also made us feel welcome and well taken care of—something we didn’t get at dinner.

I started with the Rosemary Honey Sour, which was delicious—a great balance of herbal, sweet, and tart. Meanwhile, my dad took Jessi’s recommendation and tried the Butterscotch & Spiked Milk, a creative take on a White Russian. He fell in love with it so much he had to have a second.

For my second drink, I gave Jessi a few flavor notes I like in a cocktail, and she took it to the bartender. What I got was a fantastic bourbon hot toddy, which was exactly what I needed on a chilly night.

We had a seat right next to the fireplace, which made the whole experience even better—especially with temperatures outside at 25°F. It was cozy, warm, and the perfect way to end the night.

The Mountain Room Lounge absolutely delivered. The drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere was inviting, and Jessi’s service made the whole experience extra special.

Would I come back? Without a doubt. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If you're in Yosemite and looking for a relaxing place with great cocktails and even better...

The atmosphere is great and the servers were accommodating for our large group of 11. My family ordered nachos (4) and the solo plate(2). The bbq pork was dry. So dry I had quite a few jerky type pieces. Contrary to the attempt made on my dish, sauce doesn’t rehydrate the pork. Their bbq sauce had some kick. Slaw was decent but the potato salad had no flavor. The cornbread muffin was delicious. I would say it was the hero of the meal. Kids ate nachos but be aware they are on the “fancy” side. That was my 10 year olds description. We added pork. The older kids liked them and didn’t say much about their pork so I am assuming not all the pork was dry. I understand that this place has a limited menu and it is “bar food” but I was surprised they didn’t have any sort of sliders or fries on the menu. When you are in a place that has limited options you expect to pay more but the quality of food should reflect that. The atmosphere and servers cannot make up for the meal that was sorely lacking. Also surprising: they served everything in bio degradable to go boxes. We were given cutlery in cloth napkins and to go boxes? It seemed to be a waste since we didn’t ask for boxes in the...

So we never ordered food or drinks here (vegan options are limited and some of the other spots cater more to this) BUT we bought s'mores makings (marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, AND skewers) at the gift shop and the mountain room let us roast marshmallows over their fire. It sounds like this has been discontinued previously for unattended children being around the fire so play nice and it will hopefully continue. Just what we needed after a long day of hiking and plenty to share. Staff was super friendly, especially considering we weren't there to eat or drink. I will also note we were there in the low season in case this is restricted when they are busier. Never...
