24K Pole Dance Studio is truly one of the most stunning pole dance studios I've ever had the pleasure of visiting! Although I wish they had a location in San Francisco; however, the drive to Oakland is truly worthwhile for the incredible experiences they offer. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which makes it much more convenient.
My first class was the Invert Lab (Level 1.5-2) with Annie, and I can't say enough positive things about her. Annie is not just a teacher; she's an exceptional instructor who brings enthusiasm and professionalism to her classes. She provides detailed explanations and constructive feedback as we worked on our inverts, along with conditioning and transitions, helping everyone to progress on their individual journeys. If you're looking to refine your invert skills, this class is a must!
Additionally, I had the chance to celebrate my birthday at 24K Pole Dance Studio, opting for their 24K pole party experience. Dolli, who coordinated everything, was simply phenomenal--she was incredibly responsive and made the entire booking process smooth and easy. My friends and I had an unforgettable time! Thanks to Annie's guidance, we learned a fun and flirty choreography that kept everyone engaged and excited. The energy was infectious, and it turned out to be a fantastic night filled with laughter, joy, and pole dancing memories that I will...
Read moreI’m so happy 24K Pole Dance Studio opened up in Oakland! I have had two classes so far, I did a Strong + Flexi with Shiki and a Beginner Tricks Choreo with Annie. Great beginner classes to start off with, I highly recommend.
The Strong + Flexi class with Shiki was great! It was very informative and what I took away from this class was the importance of identifying any imbalances you have throughout your body. Shiki asked the class questions after every stretch which forced us to really to pay attention to our bodies. Especially since you will be using almost all of your muscles during a pole class. I learned some great ways to stretch not only for flexibility but for strength as well. Thank you Shiki!
The Beginner Tricks Choreo with Annie was challenging and fun! We learned some basic tricks and towards the end Annie taught us a routine combining everything we learned. As it was my first pole dance class, it was challenging physically but also challenged my confidence in the best way possible. Annie created a warm and inviting learning environment so let loose and definitely give it a try. You’ll be in...
Read moreI love workshops where teachers focus on specific skills. I was excited that Kate held a 4 week ayesha workshop. Even though I currently live in the south bay area, I was committed and drove up every week. I feel so safe when Kate is spotting me - she will literally carry you, but the point is not to rely on being held, but that you feel safe enough to have the awareness of knowing what parts of your body to engage, then you will confident to do it with minimal spotting or on your own. Kate also offers a mental / emotional support spot, which I appreciate when navigating complex tricks. I learned about 9 entries into ayesha! I have taken her classes before and have enjoyed learning from her. The studio space itself is clean and friendly. Despite the long drive from the south bay area, getting to the studio is easy off of 880 and there is a lot of parking. I also feel safe in the parking lot especially when taking classes late at night. Will definitely be taking more classes/workshops at 24k...
