Heard good things about this place, but I gotta be real. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, (My test plate always consists of 2 Suadero if they have it, and 2 Carnitas Tacos, street style, with salsa and cebollas) Both of the meats tasted and chewed like they had spent too much time on a griddle frying, and not enough time in a Comal bubbling. The end result was Suadero and Carnitas that were kind of indistinguishable from one another, and a little dry and stringy, as opposed to tender and juicy.
For me, it's all about the meat, and Tacos Sinaloa had good tacos, but the meat was nowhere near the tenderness and flavor of the meat at El Paisa, (see my review) or Tacos La Raza in Richmond (see my review) and so I don't think I'd go back, but maybe Carnitas and Suadero are not their speciality and I should have ordered, al pastor or shrimp, and I'll give it another try at a later date and review that. Meanwhile I am sticking with El Paisa on International, and Tacos La Raza on 22nd and Macdonald...
Read more. 2nd and last attempt to try ordering from this place!!! , and this happened. Bad customer service, they ignored me for 5 minutes, acting like they didn't see me standing there, turned around, and continued staring at her phone and chitchat with other employers. so I was walking to my car and another person showed up immediately they took his order. I went back to try to order again and ordered. When i picked up my food, i asked if my kid could use the bathroom, and she said it was out of service and shoved my food bag while giving it to me. I asked for my money back, and they refused to give me a refund, having me wait for 10 mins just to get my money back.funny rude people working here!!!! Go elsewhere + months ago I visited night-time and also...
Read moreAwesome taco truck with monster sized super burritos. Go with the regular unless you want enough for two meals. Both versions come with everything inside, the super is just the size. This is the only place I have been to that serves suadero meat. It's similar to the cut of a tri tip steak, super tender and marbled nicely. It's uncommon cut of meat in the US and its really cool that they served it. They fry it up so it's super crispy, yet tender too. Really unique and a must try. Highly recommend!
All of the meat is great here tho. I recently tried the Al pastor and was thoroughly impressed. They also have killer seafood options - fish, shrimp and octopus tostadas and ceviches. Arguably this is the best taco truck in Oakland or...
