Came here for massage and Jacuzzi. First if you are disabled or use a walking stick or a walker avoid this place. I and a guest with walking stick and a walker tried it. To get to the Jacuzzi you have to go on stones and it's impossible with a walker. The Jacuzzi is deep and the handrail is not well placed. I fell in the water and made a huge splash trying to get in. It got all the towels wet that the staff had placed on a wooden bench next to the Jacuzzi. Even with a walker next to the Jacuzzi and a walking stick we could not get out of the hot tub without the help of a kind staff member. He helped us get of it. Second they only have one massage room on the ground floor. Since it was two disabled folks I had to clime the stairs in the back yard. The lady that gave me the massage was a huge help and carried my bag up and down the stairs. The gentleman that helped us out of the spa was very kind. The massage was excellent. We noticed that they offer a 10% discount during the week for therapy. They did not offer that to us when we walked in. We had to point it out to them once we saw the sign at the start of the visit. Once we did at the beginning of the appointment I was under the impression that they would refund a portion of the fees. Once the jacuzzi and massage ended an hour and 1/2 later I reminded the front staff again. He said he needs to void my entire transaction and recharge my card. To which I agreed. Unfortunately the credit card refund was broken. So I said to give the refund to the staff member that helped us get in and out of the water. In addition they offer a senior citizen discount but we did not get that even though I was with someone that was 80 years old. The front desk staff gave a rolling eye when it was mentioned. This is not a place we can ever visit because of its lack of accommodation for disabled folks. I would give it 5 stars for the helpful staff that fished us out of water and the massage therapists that helped me up the stairs, and 1 star for front desk staff for his rolling eyes and credit card issues, the lack of discount and applied to our fees, negative 10 stars for its disability access, no elevator for reaching second floor and no proper handrails and rocks that won’t...
Read moreThey greet you at the front desk and give baskets with a towel & robe which was cute. I opted for the steam room & relaxation massage today.
Steam room - private room with a shower and steam chamber, reserved for an hour, the experience is designed to be a 45 min steam and 15 min shower/cool off. Since the room is yours you can get in and out of the steam chamber whenever you want. Overall pretty basic, and worth what you pay. The rubber/plastic mats inside the steam chamber itself are thin and different from the rest of the room so when it heats up it can burn your feet when you step on it to leave the room.
Relaxation massage - my masseuse was Joseph, and he asked what specific muscles I wanted to target and for aromatherapy preferences which was thoughtful and the massage itself was good. There was some confusion about the time on their end because they stopped my massage abruptly at 40 mins. Since my massage finished unexpectedly I was waiting outside for my friend and Joseph realized we finished a full 20 min before time. He was sweet about it and To be clear I don’t think they were shirking, I think there was some confusion about time when communicated between staff members. We told the staff at the front desk about the miscommunication, to and the first person just laughed apologetically with no intention of fixing the issue. We asked what could be done since we paid for an hour, and she pushed back trying to explain that massages end early intentionally to allow time for guests to change, and normally this explanation would make sense but didnt justify being kicked out 20 mins early imo. A second staff member walked in and helped us. The push back is why I’m taking the stars off. They adjusted the cost to 40 min instead of the full hour, after wasting time arguing and trying to confirm that there was indeed an actual problem. Good massage & masseuse - I’d recommend Joseph. Bad customer service at the front. I wanted to come back a different time and try the combination rooms that are people’s favorite in the reviews, it’s probably unlikely I’ll go again. I hope to find a better spot although the actual services themselves were pretty...
Read moreI had a friend in town so we wanted a girls spa day. We called the morning of and they were able to squeeze us in same day. I am beyond picky about my massages because I've had some traumatizing experiences. I was very pleased with my overall experience here. We booked a combo package which included 30 minutes in your own outdoor spa, along with a 1 hour massage. We walked in and there's super chill vibes from the staff. They greeted us, we got some hot tea, and they walked us back to our room. They explained the process, handed us robes and towels, and said they'd be back with a knock when we have 5 minutes left. The outdoor spa is such an amazing experience. To be outdoors and see the sky gave me such a sense of happiness. There's a shower to rinse off with before you get in the hot tub. We just drank out tea, talked, and got our soak on. The jets are nice and strong and feel amazing!
After our hot tub I had a moderate/Swedish massage with Janet. She was fabulous. She had the hands of an angel. My body massage was the best massage I've ever received, she was very comforting and checked in often to make sure I was comfortable. She had such positive energy and was very thorough with the full body massage. She started with my back, legs, arms, hands, feet, and head. I felt like I was there for hours. I will definitely be back to see Janet.
I can't wait to take more girlfriends with me to...
