Township Commons — Attraction in Oakland

This is a pretty cool place to ride around — on skates, a bike, or whatever. The views of the water are wonderful, but the structures are what make it so charming. Remnants of the old buildings are still in tact, giving homage to history, but they're combined with a new landscape, giving it a modern touch. I just wish for two things: that it was easier to get to by bike and that there were more restaurants and cafes. But the surrounding area is still evolving, so I look forward to seeing how...

Love this park! Anenities include a grassy hill, informational plaques, comfortable benches for reclining or sitting upright, smooth surfaces for roller skating, super clean restrooms, beautiful views, wide open spaces, and a roving private security guard to ensure cars aren't broken into.

An amazing park with views of the water! Wide, flat walkways make this a great place for a nice stroll along the estuary or for young ones to scoot or bike. The design of the place is beautiful, with three sections of the old warehouse that once stood here architecturally framing the park. You'll often see roller skating, dance, and yoga groups out.
