I booked Pacific Lighthouse for my wedding banquet. Throughout the year we noticed many bad reviews and after revisiting 4 times we were guaranteed by multiple managers that they fixed all the issues and that they would have no problems handling our party.

After seeing many of the worst reviews (which I can confirm are sadly accurate) point to their service we were guaranteed that the venue would be fully staffed for the entire time of our reservation.

5:30 pm - More than 1 hour into my wedding banquet and they inform us that half the staff won't start work until after 6:00 pm

-We were promised that the food service would start at 6:00 pm. Nothing was served until after 7:00 pm. All of my guests have been starving for over an hour.

-They let in a birthday party upstairs and diverted the already overwhelmed waitstaff to serve them before our party. Both I and my guests had to watch them get their food first.

-They guaranteed that outside customers would enter through a side entrance. We had random strangers push past our reception line with the Manager Henry escorting them like VIP's past our families

Many of the entrees came out ice cold. With noticeably smaller portions for the high-cost dishes like the lobster.

I had to mediate at least 20 complaints about lack of water, rudeness from the waitstaff, dishes being cleared too early or not at all, and extreme heat in the back of the restaurant

We were promised that the beer would be chilled and served to the guests. My guests were served warm beer!

-My wife's biggest pet peeve is no spacing between tables at events. We were promised that they can accommodate up to 60 tables with plenty of space to walk through. We had 50 tables and my guests were so cramped they looked like they were in a Bart train during rush hour.

This was the best night of my life because I married the love of my life and tonight is the start of a new future for us.

It was the worst night because of the food quality, service and treatment my family received from this establishment.

It would be safe to say that I will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone; especially not for any event that carries...

This is probably the first place I've been where I didn't expect it to be good due to the Yelp review aggravate of 2.5 stars. The only reason why I decided to come is because I saw this place on the list of tasty buns in an old article posted at a Walnut Creek Dim Sum place. I decided to visit all the places listed in the article as a new goal.

Firstly, there was plenty of parking. the place is situated within neighborhoods of condos and apartments. It's right next to the water with a view of the harbor, plenty of boats. Coming in around 11:30 on a Saturday (near open hours), I noticed that there were plenty of Asians sitting in the tables near the window view. By the time I finished my meal, the place was well packed.

The food selection was great. The servers come by with dim sum dish options. The dishes were big and plentiful. I got to choose what I want to eat... as opposed to some Dim Sum places nowadays where I just order from a menu. There is also a menu and I used that to order the veggies I didn't see available with the servers.

I would give this place a 5 stars... but I ordered #69 (coconut osmanthus pudding) and what came out was just a regular osmanthus jelly. Obviously, I was disappointed that the place didn't know the difference between a pudding and a jelly. Additionally, there was no...

This was our first time here for dinner service on Chinese New Year Eve. It was quite an uncomfortable experience. I wonder if it’s because my family and I are not native Mandarin or Cantonese speaking. My party of 6 adults and 1 baby were not greeted upon entering the restaurant, so we decided to take a seat at an unreserved window table. Upon seeing us after we were clearly settled in, we were asked to move to an undesirable table although we were one of only 3 parties in the entire establishment. Thankfully we did not have to. After the host and servers finally realized we were here for dinner, we only received the banquet menu ($600+, 10 course set meal per table), which is obviously way too much food for our party. We had to ask two different employees before we were able to get a standard dinner menu. After ordering, the meal service went smoothly enough. The servers and host assigned to our table were kind enough. Unfortunately we ended on a sour note as the cashier visibly threw her head back and rolled her eyes as we asked for an itemized receipt for our dinner (isn’t this standard?).

Pros: standard banquet hall style food, lots of seating, easy parking Cons: some employees’ attitudes can really dampen what was supposed to be a good time, which IMO is more important than the food on...

Sure! Here's a review for Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant in Alameda: --- **Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant Review** If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Alameda, Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant is a fantastic choice. Nestled at 1051 Pacific Marina, this Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant offers a serene view of the yacht harbor, making it a scenic spot for a meal. Even the decorations is a little bit out of date but the restaurant's ambiance is welcoming and comfortable. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience from start to finish. The menu at Pacific Lighthouse is diverse and mouth-watering. Their dim sum selection is impressive, with standout dishes like the braised beef tripe and the delicious shrimp dumplings. One of the best aspects of dining here is the reasonable pricing. A meal for 6 ladies, including tax and tip, cost about $50 per person, which is great value considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Pacific Lighthouse Restaurant is a gem in Alameda. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth a visit for its authentic Chinese cuisine, excellent service, and beautiful views.

Nice view Chinese Restaurant, roomy and the area is clean, especially the carpet. The staff not serving the first come customers, but the ones they familiar with. Most of the female workers are very friendly and polite, whereas the male servers have no manner while serving their customers. The one who served us named MING (printed on the receipt), very rude guy. He approached us twice with the same question - how many person - and long face. When he picked up the empty dishes, right in front and between us (only two of us). Has to be trained or told this is a very rude movement. Food is no good, both of us get diarrhea.
