I was totally pleased with the service and product at Molyneaux Carpet in Oakmont. I needed new carpet for a rental unit and Molyneaux made it quite easy and satisfying.

I had a quick visit to the store and the salesman there helped me pick out a carpet and took the measurements that I had made and told me that Megan would call me that afternoon or the next day with an estimate. Megan called the next day as promised, gave me an estimate that was perfectly in line with my expectations and then worked with me to set a date for installation that was very soon and before my next tenants moved in – thus minimizing the disruption to anyone and making it easier for the installer. I very much appreciated her (and the company’s) ability to meet my timing requirements. Megan called a day or two later to meet me at the property so she could do precise measurements – she was on time and very professional, taking measurements, and writing up a contract on site so that we could get the work done the next week. She also brought a set of samples, even though I had already selected the carpet color, and helped me realize that I had chosen the totally wrong color for the room. She helped me choose a much better color for the room, and it even came out a few dollars cheaper than the original selection.

The scheduler called 2 days later as promised to set up a time, and the Installer came as scheduled. Dave, the carpet installer was friendly and professional. He was working alone so it took longer than originally expected, but since no one was in the apartment (between tenants) it did not really matter. Dave did a great job, finished in the same day, the carpet looks terrific, he left the apartment clean and he hauled away all the old carpet and debris. My new tenants will be very happy.

Megan Baird was the design consultant on our job. From the first time we walked into the Oakmont store, she went above and beyond to listen to what we wanted, showed us many samples - both in the store and at our home- to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Her excellent customer service was one of the main reasons we chose Molyneaux. We had been to several other flooring stores, and after meeting Megan, choosing Molyneaux was a sure thing. We chose carpeting for our bedrooms and luxury vinyl for the main living areas of our home. Megan was able to accommodate our scheduling needs to coincide with other construction jobs in progress in our home. She worked with us to make sure that the timing was right for both the carpet and luxury vinyl installations. The carpet installation went speedily and to our satisfaction. There were a few snags with the installation of the luxury vinyl and baseboards. We were initially a bit discouraged by the finished product. The very same afternoon of the luxury vinyl installation, we were texted by Melissa Molyneaux McFarland, wanting to know if we were satisfied with the finished job. We let her know that the job fell short of our expectations, and she put us in touch with a Molyneaux representative named Josh. He listened to all of our concerns, and gave us no hassle whatsoever. He got us on the schedule right away and sent an excellent carpenter out to look over the trouble spots. The carpenter went over everything with a fine-tooth comb and completely resolved all of the issues with the initial install. We felt that they absolutely made things right, delivered on everything that they had promised, and had outstanding customer service. I gladly recommend Megan Baird and Molyneaux to others who need carpet or new floors. I own and manage several residential investment properties in and around Pittsburgh. When I needed to replace the three-level entryway/hallway/stairway carpet in a property I just acquired, I called Megan Baird at Molyneaux, as I had worked with her before and had a good experience. True to form, Megan was responsive to my initial email, we scheduled a visit to the property shortly thereafter, and she brought lots of samples and plenty of ideas about what would work for this application. Megan was way helpful and knowledgeable as sorted through options for color, style, durability, et al and eventually picked out a solution that was mostly carpet and a bit of hard surface near the front door, which I probably would not have thought of by myself but which I am very happy with. Megan made it easy to finalize the order and Molyneaux scheduled the install on a date that worked for me. The installers showed up just as they said they would, they were friendly, they worked hard and they finished the install by lunchtime on Day 2. I am quite pleased with the results, both for how the carpet looks and for the quality of the install. I like the fact that Molyneaux is a local company, employing local tradespeople and supporting the local community. The fact that Pat M is a fellow Central Catholic alum helps me feel good about using the company.
