FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO START BY WARNING EVERYONE THAT WHEN YOU TURN IN YOUR EQUIPMENT KEEP YOUR RECEIPT FOREVER BECAUSE COMCAST EMPLOYEE'S DO NOT ENTER IT INTO THE SYSTEM THAT YOU RETURNED ANYTHING AND THE COMPANY WILL ROB YOU AND CHARGE YOU FOR THE EQUIPMENT THAT YOU DEFINITELY GAVE BACK TO THEM! THEN LIKE THEY DID TO ME, THEY CUT MY SERVICE OFF AND HAVE NOW CAUSED ME TO LOSE MY JOB DUE TO THE FACT THAT I NEED INTERNET FOR MY JOB SO NOW I'M JUST DEVASTATED AND SO ARE MY KIDS, I DON'T KNOW HOW WE WILL SURVIVE, I'M A SINGLE MOM AND THAT WAS MY INCOME, I HARDLY EAT AS IT IS AND NOW BECAUSE OF COMCAST LIFE SEEMS HOPELESS! TO TOP THINGS OFF THE WAY I WAS TREATED FOR A PERIOD OF 6 HRS BY COMCAST EMPLOYEE'S WAS HORRIBLE AND MISERABLE, I WAS IN TEARS FOR HOURS BECAUSE OF COMCAST AND SO WAS MY DAUGHTER! AN EMPLOYEE NAMED JESSICA WHOM IS IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT FOR COMCAST WAS THE MOST NASTY MEAN HORRIBLE PERSON I HAVE EVER HAD TO SPEAK WITH, SHE REFUSED TO HELP ME REFUSED TO LET ME TALK TO A SUPERVISOR OR GIVE ME HER ID# AND EVEN REFUSED TO TRANSFER ME TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT SHE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO SPEAK WITH AND HER REASON WAS THAT I OWE COMCAST MONEY THAT IN REALITY I DO NOT OWE BUT EVEN IF I DID REALLY OWE THIS MONEY THAT IS NOT A REASON TO REFUSE TO TRANSFER A CUSTOMER TO THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENT, I'M JUST HORRIFIED BY THE WAY I WAS TREATED AND THE AMOUNT OF TIME I WAS PLACED ON HOLD, 6 HOURS TOTAL, UNREAL. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND COMCAST TO ANYONE AND URGE EVERYONE TO GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY! ALL I HAVE IS BASIC CABLE TV AND BASIC INTERNET SO VERIZON HAS OFFERED TO GIVE ME THAT SAME SERVICE FOR $45 A MONTH AND TREATED ME SO NICE COMPARED TO COMCAST, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE SWITCH TO VERIZON FOR CABLE TV AND INTERNET UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED THE WAY I WAS TREATED BY COMCAST AND ROBBED!!! Read moreMultiple attempts were made via the “800” numbers to comcast to set up a new account for a vacation home in ocean city md. I honestly don’t know how a company like this can exist ! The first rep denied that my building and unit exists. When i found a rep that acknowledged the building, he said that comcast did not provide service to it. I then talked to a third rep who denied that comcast provided service to my building so i provided other unit members names and accounts by their permission (and requested by a prior comcast rep). The rep refused to verify available service via this info, even though their would have been no breech of privacy. A final dead end. I took a 3 1/2 hour drive to the ocean city md comcast building (85th street) and spoke to a rep that acknowledge that the “800” numbers are useless and then answered my questions. By request he gave me his business card and a personalized phone number to call him directly when ready to establish service. Literally 15” later i called the number and was told by message that he was not available. I left a message of with my name, intent, and call back number. This is now day four since leaving a message and still no response by comcast. I hate dealing with a business that i feel like I’m pulling teeth to become a customer because it just indicates horrible future customer service. Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. We pay for service that has not worked for months. We were told a service call would be set up and it never was. We cannot get past the computer operator- no live human being. The customer service is terrible.
One year later, adding to this post. Have had continuous problems with service not working. Called yesterday and after 1 hour on phone to have tier 3 service try to troubleshoot and then schedule service appt. for tomorrow. They called us back today and said they determined how to fix our issue remotely. After 30 minutes, our cable was working. One minute after they hung up, it quit working again. I immediately called back and waited 30 minutes to speak to someone. My service appt. was cancelled by Xfinity and they said I would now need to wait 3 days for an appointment. I tried going to the local store, but there was a line literally out the door of folks waiting for help. Now I am on hold again. Ocean City needs to bring in another large cable provider. Xfinity...
