Sunsations 94th street — Local services in Ocean City

I was on the verge of making a purchase when I noticed several coffee mugs for sale, black with a Confederate Battle Flag and “Ocean City, MD” inscribed on it.

At that point, I left my items and exited the store. I’ve vacationed and invested in Ocean City for over 50 years and have never been so offended by such an insensitive piece of memorabilia.

I really don’t see the relevance of such a product. Ocean City was not involved in the Civil War, nor can I imagine someone saying, “my vacation in Ocean City MD would not be complete without the purchase of a coffee mug with a Confederate Flag and ‘Ocean City, MD’ on it”.

If that is the crowd you wish to attract, more power to you, but I, for one, will not do business with your franchise. I think these types of items reflect the worst spirit of our region and do not celebrate the fact that Ocean City is a place for the workers of this area to get away with their families and enjoy time together. This is a tradition I can trace back over 100 years with my family.

Me and my family visited this location while on vacation. My 17 year old took advantage of their buy one get one free. The lady at the register tells my daughter that she can't get her items, even though they are apart of deal. I requested a manager and the lady had a instant attitude and rolled her eyes. I told all this to the manager and she acted like it was no big deal. I had to tell her that, that is not how you deal with people before she said she would tLk to her. I will never buy anything...

Directly across the street from the Holiday Inn we stayed in. There didn't seem a need to feature further. (...although can't wait to explore them all. This store is inexpensive. Great deals for families. Souvenirs... And...great prices, high smiles.

I brought a couple of unbelievable beautiful sunglasses. Very "inexpensive." And other stuff, for the Fam.
