On a beautiful spring weekend, my long-time friend, John I. from the bustling city of Houston, Texas, unexpectedly showed up at my doorstep in Norman, Oklahoma. With a mischievous grin, he revealed an incredible surprise: he had purchased a racehorse and it was running that very night at Remington Park, a renowned horse racing track. Intrigued and thrilled, I couldn't resist the allure of adventure. My wife, who works for Speedhorse magazine, had informed me that many of her colleagues would be attending the event. Without hesitation, I jumped into the shower, eager to witness the spectacle that awaited us. Back in Texas, John was affectionately known as "the governor" and "spiritual foundation" by his friends and peers. Adorned in a dashing upstairs suit, he exuded an air of confidence and charisma. The excitement was palpable as we made our way to Remington Park. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the vibrant atmosphere of the track. The grandstands were buzzing with anticipation as spectators placed their bets, hoping for a favorable outcome. The staff at Remington Park was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us through the intricacies of horse racing. Speedhorse magazine had reserved a fantastic table for its employees and guests, offering a delightful spread of culinary delights. It was a spur-of-the-moment adventure that transformed an ordinary weekend into an extraordinary experience. As the sun began to set, the track came alive with energy. The horses paraded before the crowd, their sleek coats glistening under the floodlights. The tension mounted as the jockeys took their positions and the gates sprang open. Our hearts raced as John's horse burst from the gate, neck and neck with the competition. The thunderous roar of the crowd reverberated through the air as the horses pounded down the track. In a thrilling display of speed and agility, It was an unforgettable night, filled with adrenaline, laughter, and the joy of shared camaraderie. Remington Park had truly delivered an extraordinary experience, leaving an indelible mark on our memories. Author: Troy Ham

DO NOT COME HERE. Also, it's not your servers fault so tip them well. You know, I want to love it here. As the only place in the city, you would think it would be such a great place BUT YOU'RE WRONG. There is an insane amount of opportunity to have this place be great from the service at Bricktown, the bar, and the machines. Have you ever had fast service here? Probably not. Have you won *at least* your money back? No. Just don't try. Seriously, we have. We bet a lot.. Donate your money at the museum. Or literally anywhere else. It'll be better spent whether you're getting a beer, food, or entertainment. RUN AWAY! You want decent pizza? Just note, minimal cheese. It's. Just. Sad. What a wasted opportunity. (BTW this pizza has "extra" cheese. Smh.)

I’m glad that they still have horse races in OKC! They parade the horses around before they race them and they are just so beautiful and elegant. We don’t go to the casino. I won $17. and a small cooler -so of course I was proud of myself (I never win anything!)The shocking part happened during a race; we actually saw one of the horses that was in a race and speeding along just fall over dead from a heart attack! He flipped the jockey onto the ground-hard! It was jaw dropping to watch the horse just laying there. But then, the horse ambulance came a resuscitated him with paddles and he miraculously came back to life! Talk about a memorable experience! #okc #remingtonpark #oklahoma #midwestroadtrips #horses #horseraces #midwest

I remember playing blackjack at the casino on the computer and actually winning and the computer said a loss and they corrected it but the point is is that it’s older folks that would just get up and leave .so after going to this casinoI’m careful what place I go to and I watch my surroundings because it’s life or death for me but you can see my struggles and also me getting used to Oklahoma coming from Buffalo New York Two years ago on my YouTube channel HOOD DIABETIC. Other than that the security guards is very polite and cool every worker there I can say is good people my problem is the system but hey sometimes you win some sometimes you lose some.

I had never seen horse racing before and this was a nice experience. It’s also a casino, so the smoke inside was thick for me. But it’s nice that you can watch the races for free and not bet if you don’t want to. There’s seating up in the building if you want to sit and see the whole track. There’s benches and tables outside up close if you want to look up the horse’s noses. I stayed down by the track, and it was amazing to watch them run. Very relaxed atmosphere. Lots of grackles. Races every 30 minutes. Concessions available inside. Casino and race betting if you’re into that. Plenty of free parking all around the complex.
