Love this park and pond! Its beautiful! Great for whole family, including to walk my dog! Lots of wild life, for being in the city! Lots of trees, shade, space, various parking lots, large playground with swings and plenty of room and playground equipment. Water Park/Spray Grounds in the warm seasons are a major plus! Tennis court and basketball court right on site too! Geese, Ducks, Birds, Rabbits, Squirrels, Owls, Fish; including Catfish, Koi, ect., Turtles, Frogs & Tadpoles can all be seen in the large, lovely pond- water park. The pond is in center of park, with a trail going around entire area. Many picnic tables, some shaded/covered tables, with some equipped with grills for bbq/grilling are a major reason this is a popular park in nice weather especially. Also, around pond are a few benches, to stop and sit and enjoy everything there is to absorb at this great place. Just east of park, which you can drive to another parking lot on that side or walk over small pedestrian bridge, taking you over small creek below, leads to ball fields and ice skating rink a little more east. Lots of trees and grassy area all the way, great for kite flying or kids to run and play...

Here, you see people getting into a game of basketball on a pristine court, families strolling by the large pond, watching geese bask in the sun, or searching for their afternoon meal. Kids are everywhere, tossing footballs, while the little ones conquer the huge playground. Even adults are letting loose, revisiting their childhood on the swings. Everywhere you look, there are smiles, laughter, and a symphony of shared memories. I'm truly thankful that in this fast-paced world, we still find moments for park afternoons, especially with gems like Benson...
Read moreI've been to this park more than any other one at this point. It's such a nice park. Lots of fowl to watch swimming around, the lake is beautiful and it has a good playground area for the kiddos. There have been a few times I've noticed people not cleaning up after their dogs, and there is poo from the geese/ducks. There is plenty of seating, so thankfully, you don't have to sit on the ground. Might get some whiffs of cannabis. It seems pretty normal around the park to smell it, between all the parking or the occasional person smoking in the park itself. All in all, it is a great park. It's well taken care of and worth going to. Would recommend and will definitely be...
