The venue was in clear violation of the ADA laws with the placement of and refusal to provide clear unobstructed views of the show. Security and Management were both rude and caused a member of the group of 4 there last night to see I.N.K. to have a break down and we had to leave because of this. I will never go to this venue again and there has been a ADA violation filed with the US Justice Dept. Call me a Karen if you want but disabled people are people and we were treated like 2nd class people last night. And with no clear sightlines to see the concert and no signage, and the hateful tone of the manager and security....I would not recommend this venue to anyone. I've been to over 5000 concerts in my lifetime and never has the ADA seating been in such a poor location and people allowed to stand in front of people who paid the same amount of money to...
Read moreDespite being a very charismatic venue with an intimate feel and nostalgic lighting, there are some glaring issues with the "premium" balcony. The standing area upstairs is completely flat, which made it difficult to see over the audience that inevitably crowded the limited rail space and refused to accommodate anyone standing behind them. Both myself, 6'1, and my wife, 5'2, had a difficult time consistently seeing the stage even after paying for an upgraded experience. If you decide not to stand, there is little to no seating in the upper area.
To be clear, I want to see this place grow and succeed. The Admiral has a lot of character and potential, but without some kind of solution to the lack of visibility from the balcony, I will be sticking to...
Read moreI've been attending shows at The Admiral (formerly named Sokol Auditorium) for years. They have recently updated the venue and it is beautiful! The bar/drink area is huge, and the bathrooms are very nice (FAR better than what they used to be!).
Security staff is plentiful, and they do bag checks and metal detecting with wands as you enter. There was one minor incident at a recent show, with a patron who had a bit too much to drink and was being disruptive. He was immediately removed from the venue. My personal safety has never felt an issue here.
No matter where you stand or sit at The Admiral, you will have a great view of the stage from the floor or balcony.
Kudos to 1% Productions for a wonderful concert experience for both musicians...
