Took our E bikes on this trail, we loved it, you can go for miles and miles. The trail is clean, we didn’t see any homeless along it, like other trails we have been to. It is clearly marked so you won’t get lost. Such a fun time and so pretty in the fall.

My wife and I rode this trail on our bikes last week to La Crosse, going from North to south. There is an access point for this trail at Marshland WI. There are signs just off Highway 35 for this access point, and it is also marked on every map I looked at. After 3 miles, going south from this access point, there is a bridge at the Trempealeau River, on Refuge Road, that must be crossed to access/continue south on the trail. Unfortunately the bridge was closed last week because of road work. There were no signs at the Marshland WI access point indicating that the road was closed 3 miles to the south. This meant we had to turn around and ride back to the marked access point at Marshland. I have no problem with bridge and road closures, but it is irresponsible to close a road without providing proper signage. It was very frustrating to have to go 6 miles out of our way because no one bothered to put up a “Road Closed at Refuge Road...

I have been biking for 30 years and have biked well over 60,000 miles and I have never been on a worse trail. The state of Wisconsin should be embarrassed that they called this a biking trail. The setting is gorgeous but they have not done nothing and I mean nothing to maintain this trail. I am sorry Google requires me to make give it a one star because it does is it deserves only negative...
