I donât own a computer, but I do own a PS4-PRO. Like most, itâs my Go-To for when Iâm bored and all consoles eventually have issues after 2-3 years. Mine happen to be the POWER plug-in on the CONSOLE itself.... Now, I could have had it sent to SONY and had them fix, clean and refurnish it. But it takes 6months to a year! just to get it back. Thatâs âIFâ you even do get it back. So, I called upon the owner of this shop and told him about the issues Iâve been having. The wire wonât sit right so the system wonât turn on and stay on. (Yes, I did buy a new Power cable. No, it wasnât the issue) I have over 60+ games on that console in DOWNLOADED games that Iâve bought, played, deleted and redone loaded when I wanted to play one of my games Iâve deleted. ....I was in some serious trouble due to not having my system play.. so I couldnât just transfer what was on it to a new console. It âHADâ to be fixed, no two ways about it. Now Iâve heard this shop used to do consoles but not anymore. But when I called, the owner...Coby Poluk, took sympathy on me since I canât really leave the house due to COV19....Itâs a HARD GAMBLE to even get my system back should I send it off to SONY and no GUARANTEE that Iâd even get it back with all the people that send theirs into SONY to be fixed and refurbished. As you could imagine, to my surprise... after looking at it, he knew EXACTLY what was wrong with it AND how to fix it. He went ahead and ordered the parts on my behalf and went to work on it the same day he got the parts in. My PS4 was in & out of his shop within just a few days of what it took for the parts to come in. Now, I only requested that the power cable on the console itself be fixed. Thatâs all. But Mr. Poluk went above and beyond....not only did he fix my âSpare-Time-Killerâ..But he went ahead and CLEANED it for me too. (If you ever owned an Xbox360...and it had the âRED RINGâ.. you had to take it apart. Low and behold, itâs always full of dust, hair, sometimes bugs and I donât know how...but even CARPET gets all up inside the console) - I believe it to be because it sits under the tv and the fan is what causes the dust to build up inside. Now, I only commissioned him to fix the Power issue. But he cleaned it well and proper. By the time it reached my hands... It looked like a brand new system, fully refurbished and restored to its original state. He ALSO..... went ahead and tested it, to make sure the power cord stayed where it was meant to and wouldnât give me any more trouble so he could guarantee his work on my PS4. Ive thought about calling his shop to work on my system for months and never brought it by. A mistake on my part I will not make twice. My PS4 now runs smooth, fast and doesnât give me ANY trouble like it did. Nor does it overheat and die on me because thereâs so much JUNK inside the system. (Dust and whatnot). I figured it would take him a solid 2-3 weeks to fix it and get it back to me. In reality, it only took 2-3 DAYS......and what shape do I find it in? Refurbished as if I sent it to SONY.
This guy KNOWS what heâs doing, he KNOWS what I needed and what would help and KNEW cleaning it for me would not only help me, but EXTEND the life of my system. Iâm a masseuse by trade....but PS4 gamer in my free time.
Thanks to Mr. Poluk and his shop for his swiftness, professionalism and helpfulness... I honestly thought I was gonna end up having to buy a new PRO just because of a bad part on my console. He saved me quite a lot of money. His sign stands true: âThey Speak Geekâ. They KNOW what theyâre doing.
If you got a computer problem and in Southeast Texas.....have yourself the pleasure of doing business with them, I highly suggest you do it. I was told to see them by many... I kept putting it off until it was almost too late. And he saved me my system, cash and the headache of waiting. Heâs the real deal.

I have been a customer of The Hard Drive for a number of years and they have repaired everything from broken iPads, busted screens, theyâve built gaming PCâs for us, and also repaired them when weâve had an issue. Theyâve done virus removals and installed protective measures to help keep us from getting new ones!! Iâm about to drop off my old laptop to diagnose and repair too!! Theyâve even fixed something and not charged me when they felt like it was something they were responsible for, in the building of my gaming pc. It wouldâve been super easy for them to charge me anyways or not take responsibility for that!! I never wouldâve known otherwise but their integrity shines through!! love this company!!
Itâs a family owned and operated business, and everyone is always very friendly and greets me like an old friend when I come in. They have done work for my parents also who love them to pieces!!! They always give me an idea of how long it might take, and after I drop it off I receive a text message with the details of my repair!! I get timely updates via msg and phone call when my issue is diagnosed as well as options of how to move forward!! It never takes âtoo longâ as a matter of fact I usually donât get up there for pickup as quickly as I should!! đđ The customer service reps are super nice and have helped me carry things out to the car when picking up, and also give me suggestions of how to move forward!! Any questions Iâve ever had are answered, and Iâve even had them tell me there was something they werenât comfortable with repairing, as well as a recommendation of where to go from there!! (Another local shop)
The family who owns it is super sweet and down to earth, and they are always in the back, working hard and repairing things!! Sometimes you can hear their kids in the back also, which I think is cool because I love a family oriented business!! I canât say enough great things about THE HARD DRIVE!!!!    Read moreI would stay away from this place. I dropped off an iPad to have the screen repaired. They said it would take a few days. I was good with that. We don't use the iPad a whole bunch anyway. So a week goes by. I decided to stop in and check on the repair. When I inquired about my iPad I was told it was not ready. He did not even ask me my name or anything. He said they have been slammed with screen repairs. I said "ok, but are you sure because I dropped it off a week ago". He looked kinda annoyed and then asked me for my info so he could look it up. He started looking for it. He went room to room with no luck finding it. I was really getting worried that they lost it. He called someone and after that was finally able to locate it. Of course it had not been repaired yet. I asked him how much longer he thought it would take. He seemed to be very angry and rudely told me he had no idea. I was in no hurry to have it repaired, but with his unprofessional and rude attitude I asked for my iPad back. He went to the back and got it.
