Golden Chick — Restaurant in Orange

We have visited this establishment many times because the food can be good. The service is nothing to brag about, but the food is amazing. Unfortunately the quality is not consistent. We have had times we got home, and our food was pathetic. Tiny shriveled up roasted chicken legs, or bbq wings that are hard and not even covered in sauce. Not to mention 9 times out of 10 they forget to put something in the bag! The wait is always at least 15 minutes, which I don’t mind. As long as they make the wait worth it, which they don’t. You easily spend $40-$60 here for not a lot, so when the quality is low, it’s a complete rip off. Out of all the visits we’ve left with bad food, or not everything we ordered, we just let it go. Nobody wants to have to go back while their food gets cold. Well tonight, they gave me a family mashed potato instead of the Mac n cheese I paid for, and I had to go back. The lady in drive thru is apparently the manager and told me to bring the mashed potatoes back. I went in and nobody paid any mind to me. I was just standing at the counter waiting. When she did bring me the Mac n cheese, there was never any eye contact, and nothing was said. I will admit I was quick to grab the bag and walk away, which is the reasoning she used when I turned back and said, “your really not going to apologize or anything for the inconvenience.” Their manager had many opportunities to show empathy and didn’t care. I am not putting myself through this again. Service sucks...

We waited a very long time for our food. Our friends had already gotten their food and finished eating so we just asked for our money back and the manager who was filling an order for the drive-through said we had to wait till she was finished instead of pulling the man from the front in letting him finish what she was doing and helping us it’s called multitasking. He finally washed his hands and told her let me finish your stuff and you go help them. He knew how long we had been waiting. I realize how hard they have to work. I’ve worked fast food. I’ve worked as a janitor, but if the management doesn’t get better, that place will not survive. Hopefully this was a one time event there was no sweet tea in the counter where the drinks were was nasty. The ice cream Machine didn’t work. But there was no sign stating that it didn’t work there were ice cream...

Unfortunately after taking a sip of my fruit punch, I noticed a brown substance under the lid, immediately after I felt sick to my stomach. I then emptied my cup outside to find a green/brownish substance throughout the inside of my cup. I then told my gf to do the same and the same substance was through the inside of her cup. We returned our food and asked for a refund and showed it to the worker (she has blue hair didn’t get her name) and she didn’t apologize ask us to remake the drinks, she just issued the refund and told us it would go back on the card.
