Lucky Wok — Restaurant in Orange

I was told to try this place, so I did on Saturday. I was reading the reviews and honestly it seemed to me like it was going to be a hit or miss. We ordered the 3 piece egg roll, an order of the cream cheese wontons, I ordered the small sesame chicken with fried rice, we had 2 small orders of generals chicken with fried rice and 1 order of plain lo mein noodles and then 1 order of shrimp lo mean. The price seemed fair considering the bulk of the order. The portion size was wow. The food was mid. The egg rolls and wontons were the only great items, but the sweet and sour sauce they gave us tasted off. The shrimp lo mein was mid ( my son enjoyed it) and i will agree with everyone the fried rice is bland and not what I consider to even be fried rice. No egg, no veggies. Looks like Spanish rice without the seasonings. My sesame chicken was terrible. The sauce was watery and tbh I was a little afraid to eat the chicken. I did my best and tried but it was not good. Lastly the generals chicken was mediocre to say the least. As my husband put it to make the rice edible he mixed it in with his chicken and sauce to give it flavor. Sadly I probably won't go back, there's better chinese food to be had elsewhere though I did give them a try! A plus on portion size, egg rolls and wontons. Everything else gets a C at best....

I do not understand why this restaurant exists. I guess for most part not everybody from Orange Texas have had real authentic Chinese food. The egg drop soup that we ordered was burnt. The oil that they used to fry the crab cheese and egg roll is very old. The chips That is included for the egg drop soup is very stale and you can taste that the oil is very old. The spicy crispy Shrimp that we ordered is very old. The shrimp tastes like it has been frozen for years. The worst order that we had was the sesame chicken. It was tiny tiny pieces of chicken that is in a huge batter and you can barely eat any chicken at all. My three-year-old and my husband ate the same chicken and the rice but my 3 yr ood ate most of it. She couldnt even digest the food because it was way too old and vomitted minutes afrer eating it. I guess people havent had any real authentic chinese food. They need to shut this down. The restroom is nasty! It's worst than any convinient store I have...

I purchased the “general chicken” On many occasions but I have been very disappointed bcs ikno on 3 different occasions I ordered general chicken(one of my favs) and it wasn’t fresh at all. It was really dark instead of brown golden color and it was scorched too, burnt tasting. The last two times including tonight it’s fresh and good. I asked tonight for fresh order. The lady in drive thru was angry with for that even tho I explained why. I’ve explained this in past times too. She wasn’t trying to hear what I was saying neither did she thank me after transaction was done. I decided I won’t return to this business again.
