MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN GOING TO HART PARK FOR YEARS AND IT WAS A PEACEFUL PLACE TO TAKE OUR DOG AND GO FOR WALKS, SIT AND WHACH A MOVIE, BUT THE PAST TWO YEARS SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG !! WITH THE PARK AND THE WAY THE CITY IS RUNNING IT !! FOR MORE THAN TWO YEARS THERES VEHICLES THAT ARE PARKED THERE EVERY DAY ! AND IM SAYING EVERYDAY BECAUSE THEY ARE PARKED THERE 24/7 !! THERES A COUPLE THAT HAVE NO REGISTRATION, NO TAGS, AND A COUPLE THAT HAVE NO PLATES !?? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS,?? ITS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT ,YOU MUST BE CURRANT ON TAGS, INSURANCE, AND ABOVE ALL YOU MUST HAVE PLATES INFRONT AND SURELY IN THE BACK. WE AND EVERYBODY ELSE HAVE CURRENT REGISTRATION, WE HAVE CURRENT TAGS INSURANCE EXCT.....YET THE CITY HAS DONE NOTHING BUT TO LET THIS GO ON AND ON FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW, THEY ARE PARKED THERE EVERY DAY AND MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR PEOPLE TO USE THAT SECTION OF THE PARK THAT DO PAY THERE REGISTRATION AND HAVE TAGS AND HAVE INSURANCE AS PER CALIF LAW ..SO WHATS GOING ON ??!! WHY IS NOTHING BIENG DONE ABOUT THIS ?? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE ABOVE THE LAW !!?? BECAUSE WE SURE PAY OUR REG, INSURANCE, EXCT...SO TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THERE VEHICLES WHO DONT PAY THERE REGISTRATION OR PAY FOR INSURANCE !-! -I GUESS ??! HART PARKS THE PLACE TO GO BECAUSE THE CITY OF ORANGE JUST DOESNT SEEM TO CARE AT ALL HOW THE PARKS PROTRAED OR HOW PEOPLE TAKE CARE OF THERE OBLIGATIONS TO OWNING A VEHICLE, I MEAN COME ON NOW !! IF SOMEONE IS GOING TO LIVE IN THERE VEHICLE THEN SHOULDNT THEY PAY FOR REG,TAGS, INSURANCE?? WE SAY HELL YES !! EVERYBODY ELSE DOES........SO MY QUESTION AGAIN IS ( WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE ABOVE THE LAW ?? ) WEVE SEEN PEOPLE ACTUALLY LEAVE INSTEAD OF HAVING THERE PARTY !! BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE LITERALLY ACT LIKE THEY OWN THAT SECTION OF THE PARK...THERE USED TO BE A GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT WOULD COME TO THE PARK AND HAVE BIBLE STUDY, THEY DONT ANYMORE !!! GEE I WONDER WHY,...

Hart park is a great park! Except for all the people complaining about the homeless. Sure the homeless tend to leave a lot of trash and that's because of the way they were raised. It's sad but people that complain about them have never thought about why they are there. There is no help for the homeless in Orange county or in Calif. and most of the homeless are frustrated from trying to get help only to be disappointed again and again from places that say they are there to help. The city of Orange instead of trying to help the homeless use threats of jail or fines to get the homeless to move on to somewhere else and they don't care where they go as long as it's not orange. That's not the way to get things done . There's a problem with a country that keeps their seniors living in poverty with no way to better their lives without pentalies and to force their homeless to move on instead of getting the right help for them. And that is never going to happen as long as the people that complain about them instead of complaining to the city council and the politicians that are suppose to make laws to help these people instead of ignoring the problem. One last thing before I close is these people who complain about the homeless being in the bathrooms or sleeping on the grass should be thinking about what they would do if tomorrow they became homeless thru no fault of their own, where are they going to go to keep clean and where are they going to go to sleep or what are they going to do to keep safe and feed themselfs. Those people think that it would never happen to them but in this day and age, you never say no because it just might and then who are they going to...

This park 🏞️ is Epic! Has everything. So much better now that is safe & clean again! New for February 2025 From 100 year old pool and amphitheatre to baseball ⚾ & football 🏈 fields. Horseshoe 🧲 pit near Volleyball 🏐 w/ real sand is awesome. Fully lit free & behind fence that's very secure are two matching full size tennis 🎾 courts that are well maintained &great for team matches. Lots 2 like at this park. So much history and landmarks. Great bicycle 🚲 spot or any type of training due to elevation changes and other topographical advantageous reasons Am double amputee but able 2 do a lot. This park is 1 of best for disabled folks. That said this in wheelchairs will have bumpy ride if U park in the river wash lot. Other than that it's ideal. Tons of walking or hiking trails for all levels and distances. Access to other county or state routes & parks. Also has access to local heritage sites area past bridge. Really digg the Greek classical architecture & Spanish mix. Amazing they have been able to keep it so original. Like goin back in time. The outdoor music events & car shows are terrific and often. Really popular on...

There is a lot of space, many picnic tables, a set of playground equipment, a public pool, a horseshoe club, and much more. I've only explored the north half of the park. I recommend for you to check out the south part and let me know what you think! The parking for this local park is located in the middle, sort of like an emergency riverbank in case of flood. There are bike paths beyond the parking lot that does look like dried riverbed (well, more like a small creek than a river). I haven't explored the bike paths, but I recommend for you to try and let me know how it goes! This park has building that are as old as 1930s. It is very well maintained and well manicured. Great for a date or family getherings as there are many green areas and roses along the north side of the park (north of the community pool). I'd return again to explore the south part of the park or even the bike paths during the day with family!

An attractive green space park with playgrounds, baseball fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, horseshoes and a pool! There’s an historic community center, amphitheater, picnic spots, group gathering areas and restrooms available. Paved pathways provide a nice walking, jogging or bike riding experience! There’s also the Santa Ana Creek Trail with paved, thru to the northeast and dirt trail, past the south end of the park in Santa Ana. I’ve been here when part of the creek flows thru the Hart parking lot, with cars having to straddle the dip, the lowest part of the park. It could be a problem returning to vehicle doors with the passing water. The small amount of water isn’t normally a problem, just an occasional shallow inconvenience to be aware of. Also my partiality with nature gives way here to the busy 22 Freeway, a constant reminder that we’re never too far from the busyness of the O.C.
