if I could select zero stars, I would select that, and not give it one star. I purchased an order a previous night and had no issues with the woman. I returned because, I am new to the area, also it's the only one open late. I'm currently recovering from a brain injury along with some physical injuries that cause me uncommon sleep and hunger routines that are not consistent. Being a DEL TACO regular since high school, Dana Point, CA was a daily satisfaction. This evening cause me great grief and turmoil, the guy with the black and purple fingernails denied me because I wanted to use my ebt and I have photos from our government stating this is a ebt accepting location! he was so rude from the questions I asked him and why someone allowed me to order and purchase food here the previous night and called me a liar. he really seemed to want to get physical and called me names. He stormed out like he was going to walk outside and come beat me up. the lady with the colored hair is really nice tho and said sorry. So I left instantly because I was in fear of my life. Im not sure if I file a police report or talk to my government agency but this is a location that suits my daily life and I don't know if I even want to support del taco at all since I've spent easily $10,000 or more on food in my lifetime and also bringing my friends and family. This hits a nerve because I've been in the hospitality industry and this is not acceptable in this line of work and should not be tolerated. I also feel this is kind of racist because I'm white, and we cannot cook nor our family's. My ex is Hispanic and she new exactly what a man wanted FOOD! I loved her soooo much. Im baffled with words and starving right now. I went to all the other locations to find out they are closing at 12 and not 2:30 wasted my gas.
This might not matter to you or your team members because I'm paying with ebt, but I'm temporary recovering and still waiting for 6 months of pay from getting out from the hospital. I have no oproom but to be on ebt. this is a serious matter I was in bed rest and also training for a competition before my incident and have lost 30lb of muscle. It is not good and I don't have anyone to help me right now with cooking, or food. your team members need to be more...
Read moreUsually i don’t like Del Taco. I am definitely a Taco Bell person. But this Del Taco gave me a unique and unforgettable experience i could not hesitate to share.
When I approached the drive thru (an unusual feat for me because I absolutely despise drive thrus) it was almost empty. Not a line in sight! Of course, this may be due to the fact that Taco Bell is superior to Del Taco, and I understand that Del Taco may never have a line since they’re second best (and more pricey, might I add)! But anyway there was no line in the drive thru which suited me quite well. I decided there was no need to hurry so I took my time reading the menu. I decided that there was no need to inform tue drive thru man speaking to me through the speaker that I was there. I ignored him and took my time reading every item on the menu. After 47.62 minutes, when I decided that I was ready to order, I barked at the microphone to the man to listen up. The man responded and asked me what I would like to buy. I started to ask for an order of 30 tacos with french fries and 7lbs of mayo (per taco) as any reasonable person would. At that very moment I was very rudely and unnecessarily interrupted by a honking sound coming from the car(s) behind me. The line had piled up behind me so that it went all the way down the street. I ignored them, and assumed that they honked as a mistake (that was very courteous of me). It wasn’t until they honked a second time that I poked my exceptionally thick head out of the window to yelp at the woman about how she needed to be patient. After I shut her up, I completed my order. I pulled up to the next window. To my utmost shock, the man who took my order was actually a woman! I was shocked. I told her she had a manly voice. When she looked offended and told me my order would be 79.68, I barked at her to lower it to ten dollars, with which some (physical) persuasion, she agreed to. When I got my food, it was cold and there wasn’t near enough mayo. But I loved it! It could have used more mayo but other than that it was just gr8!...
Read moreThis particular Del Taco had no functional restrooms for guests. We visited and after a day at park were hoping to eat in some tacos and burritos. But we're told the bathrooms were "out of order" both by sign and employee. No offer or place for us to even wash our hands. This is unacceptable and unsanitary, especially if true for employees. It is a hot day and hands get sweaty, plus needed to use bathroom. Needless to say if we can't wash up before our food, that is unacceptable. Had to leave to find someplace to clean up, not even dirty, just hands in grass and palm sweat, Big Lots had bathroom and we drove closer to home to eat. There are 2 outdoor bathrooms at this location, I find it hard to believe both were down, isn't that a health code violation? They could have at least allowed us to use a sink to wash hands. If all this was truly broken, than food is not going to be sanitary. If this is being done as store policy so they never have to clean a bathroom or some other neighborhood issue, than they should use a key, code, or electric lock to manage it. The sign posted for Restrooms out of order was on one of the registers in black marker on old cardboard with old tape. Looks like it had been there a while. I am sure some restaurants have issues with graffiti, or misused bathrooms. However, we drove up in a car, there were only 2 of us in our 40s dressed in regular no holes clothes. It seems crazy to me to turn away guests who pay money because your restrooms are "closed" long-term or you can't manage a hand washing sink. Very frustrating as Del Taco is generally one of my favorite places, I love the new design of the one on Goldenwest, use my Del Taco app regularly. But if you are going to be as bad or questionable in sanitation as a Taco Truck, well I don't need to go back to this one. Google maps need to have a don't go list option... If for no other reason than to avoid questionable places. If I ever drive by this area again I will check to see if restrooms are open, but I suspect this is just a poor...
