In lieu of our bi-annual visit to the vineyards in Piedmont and Montalcino due to the COVID restrictions, we planned a visit to the Willamette Valley. Of the approximately 20 vineyards we visited, Aramenta was at the top of our list and would highly recommend a visit. Darlene and Ed were great. Of most significance was their presentation of a vertical starting in 2011 and ending in 2017. This allowed us to select vintages which were most pleasing to our palette. Without exception, all other vineyards were unable to accomplish this as they tend not to "cellar"...
Read moreFamily-run winery with fantastic wines. Have visited several times over the years. They cellar their wines until they feel they're ready to drink, thus the only wines available are older. Today (2025) we tasted a 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017. Their prices are very reasonable for Pinots that are superb (they'll hold their own against wines twice the price). No appointments, just drop by. Note that it's family-run (the owners pouring the tastings), so they're sometimes closed due to health or schedule conflicts, but if they are just try again another day. Well...
