The Salty Mermaid — Attraction in Ormond Beach

Beautiful seaside souvenirs and many made by local artists! The inventory from classy and sophisticated to a touch of whimsy. There is something for everyone; furniture, jewelry, paintings, hand painted glasses, candles, soaps, wind chimes, etc.

But, best of all, are the classes that have you meeting new and interesting people. The last class I took was with Janie Lew Art & Ink taught by Janie Lewandowski. My friend and I painted a mermaid's tail in watercolors. We thought working with watercolors would be difficult but Janie made it easy. We just loved them.

And Penny has made making resin windows so much fun. So many designs to choose from to make the stained glass resin windows. Everytime I have guests in town we go down to the Salty Mermaid and make a window. It is a wonderful keepsake for my guests to take home with them. My best friend called it art therapy!

Even took a class and made a couple of pairs of earrings for a gift to send to my granddaughter in Europe. Loved them!😊

The staff at the Salty Mermaid, Amber and Arlene, are always there with a smile, super helpful and welcoming. Which makes visiting the store delightful.

I often purchase new home gifts for friends here as well. They have classes of all types to make your very own beachy art. Customers are always greeted when walking through the door.
