This place has the absolute most delicious food I've ever had in my life. The chicken is so tender, juicy and flavorful. The ribs are super meaty and moist. The brisket is really tasty. The sides are so good. The macaroni and cheese is perfect. We live in Gainesville but plan on eating here every time we come to Ormond Beach. I can see us riding over for the day just to eat this succulent BBQ. You can tell they put a lot of work, thought and devotion into their craft when you eat their food. We ate there Friday night and loved it so much we couldn't wait for them to open on Saturday to eat their remarkable food again. The service is incredible. The wait staff, owners and pit masters all circulate through the restaurant and make sure no glass ever goes empty and everyone has what they need and is enjoying it thoroughly. In a time when you rarely get good service, it's refreshing to know there's still people that go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I can't wait to eat there again. We haven't ruled out going back for dinner. I told my wife I didn't think it was possible for chicken to be this delicious but it absolutely is. The whole experience was completely delightful. The prices are extremely fair. The portion size is generous. It shows that they take pride in what they do and do so well. Give them a try. You'll be a fan and...
Read moreWe’re snowbirds from Chicago so we are no strangers to good BarBQue. We discovered Lottie Bells back when Brandell was serving his BarBQue from a food truck and we were blown away! Imagine our excitement last year when we arrived to find he moved his fabulous BarBQue from the truck to a new restaurant right down the street. So tonight- our first stop after arriving from the north was Lottie Bells!!! We ordered our favorites from last year - my husband had the Frito chili pie and pulled pork sandwich and I had the Carnitas cilantro soft tacos and corn bread with side of melted butter. The food is always fabulous and this year was no exception. The Moist Smokey barbque pork was perfection topped with homemade sauce. And corn bread was light, airy and amazing with a side of melted butter for dipping . That was as good as having dessert. The service is also great! Courtney was so amazing - she even remembered after a year what my favorite entree was and how I always ask for extra limes!! We brought home our leftovers to enjoy tomorrow because Lottie’s won’t be open again until Wednesday - and we’ll be back for sure. Try it- you won’t be...
Read moreThought we'd check out Lottie Bell's today for late lunch. Both had brisket plates: one with mac 'n cheese & baked beans, the other with collards & potato salad. Things were good. Brisket was chopped, mesquite smoked & not dry with a few burnt ends thrown in. Baked beans got rave reviews from my partner. Collard greens were en fuego (literally) & not cooked to mush. Potato salad was homemade with mustard, a little much for my taste buds but not awful. Only complaint about sides was the small portion size. Got some nice warm peach cobbler; not too sweet with plenty of peaches. We got a 1/2 pound of brisket to go. Add in 2 sweet teas & our total was about $58 dollars before tip. Asked a few times how things were, which we appreciated. The owner said he's getting asked about adding corn bread & fried okra to the menu. We enjoyed the easy going atmosphere, the 80's soundtrack & the friendly atmosphere so...
