Hefner Museum of Natural History — Attraction in Oxford Township

Cannot say enough about this FREE museum! It's so COMPLETELY extensive, and full of interesting, eye-popping, odd and amazing specimens - you could spend half a day here, even though it's not too large of a place! On a college campus, and it is handicap accessible. Talk to the Director-Steven for a fascinating tour where I promise - you WILL walk out wide-eyed about what he'll tell/show you about this great place and everything in it! More of a collection than a museum, but it was neat to see the animals. The taxidermy large cats were especially impressive. They had a lot of their majesty still captured. They had a handful of items you could pick up and feel, such as a moose antler. Seems like they were working on some improvements. Staff was friendly and offered to answer questions.
