Today is Valentine's day 2014 and I am in tears. I fully understand the volume of orders today is high. However, if you can't professionally and kindly handle it, don't accept an amount of orders that you can not handle. I received a 3 page text this morning asking when I would be home to accept a flower delivery from my fiancé who is currently away with the Army. This text ruined the surprise of receiving flowers. Your website specifically states that dorm deliveries can not be made a surprise. Understandable, but I am not a student and the flowers ordered weeks ago were set to be delivered to our home. I responded with "I'll be home the next hour. By the way your text kind of ruined the surprise! If someone didn't want the surprise it would be easy to not pay the delivery free and pick up flowers from Kroger." Something that is impossible because he is away with the service. Minutes later I receive a phone call from Cindy, the shop owner yelling at me. I'm not exaggerating. My mom could hear her yelling at me through the phone. I asked why she was yelling at me in a calm voice where she then told me to just refuse my order. That she had hundreds of orders and if I were at her shop, I would understand. I was not upset that they text me. I even told her that. I just stated that it kind of ruins the surprise. I started crying on the phone. She wouldn't listen to anything I had to say because I wouldn't yell at her like she did me. I told her I would not recommend her shop and she told me "Go for it I don't care!" She ruined my whole morning. Cindy, if you can't be kind to customers, or handle the amount of orders you had come in today, don't take on so much responsibility. She told me that it was no where noted in my delivery not to text or call me. Of course it wouldn't be. Who would assume that when they ordered flowers that someone would tell them to "text them back ASAP with a time frame". These flowers were ordered from a man who is away serving our country and who so badly would love to be home but can't and is doing everything he can to make up for his absence, trusting that when he pays someone that they will fulfill his request. Other delivery services will call when they arrive and would never yell at a customer the way that Cindy did. When I tried to say this as she was yelling at me, she told me she knew everyone around and I didn't need to tell her how other people do it. When she called I had no idea that she would end up being so mean that she would make me cry. I would not recommend using this shop. They can't handle the volume of orders, nor remain classy and professional if a minor issue arises. I sent back my response text because if you are unaware you are receiving flowers, it does ruin the surprise. And when you kindly tell the owner Cindy that and ask why she's yelling at you, she will be sure to yell "I DON'T CARE!" I feel my comment could've benefited them, in that someone could've been super...
Read moreI am a 75 yr old woman who has had years of experiences sending flowers. In all that time I have never had anyone in the flower business be as amazing at Cindy. I live in NY State, my son and daughter-in-law live in Oxford. After quarantining for 2 weeks and having 2 negative COVID-19 tests they were planning to come home for Thanksgiving. Due to my son's unexpected emergency oral surgery, they were unable to do so I decided to send a flower/plant arrangement. I chose OXFORD FLOWER SHOP because it has been a local business for 44 years. I thought it would be difficult to try to do this over the phone but with Cindy it was such a positive experience. She found several arrangements within my budget, She texted photos of arrangements meeting my specifications and when I wanted to try something else she did so cheerfully. She went out of her way literally to deliver the arrangement prior to the surgery. Cindy was so understanding, thoughtful and accommodating. Something I had anticipated being difficult at best, was such a positive experience. It is without hesitation that I so highly recommend OXFORD FLOWER SHOP. I have given 5 stars only because I wasn't able to give...
Read moreAs I read the Google reviews, I found it interesting that all of the negative reviews were within a two month period. I also noticed all of the negative reviews included horrible grammar and punctuation. Is this coincidental or an attempt to make a successful business for over 35 years look bad? If you look at the bottom of the four reviews, you will see over 70 positive reviews from actual customers. You will also see a 5/5 rating! A note to the person responsible for all three of the negative reviews, you may want to brush up on your grammar and linguistics before your next posting and attempt to defame a family owned business with over 35 years of success! The many customers of this business is very much aware of their reputation and valuable customer service to the Miami and...
