Awesomeness off Harbor Blvd. I've loved this park even before I was a father. Many bbqs and beach days have been spent here. If you can, rent out the covered picnic area for a wonderful addition to whatever event you plan. Huge pit to grill the most amazing meal possible, running water at the sink area, and plenty of space to lay out all the goodies you can bring. Get in touch with the city of Oxnard to reserve and to turn on electricity. The payed parking lot is rite next to picnic area and is quit large. Parking on Harbor Blvd is free but limited. Get there early on weekends, very popular spot

Since the eighth grade this has been one of the most important places in my life, I'm thirty-four now. When I was fifteen I personally named this place, Rain Park because I would come on rainy days when no one else would come. It was incredibly peaceful. The memories here are many! At nineteen years old I wrote "Peace" on a curb in a paint pen, the city painted over it, but it's still there, reminding me of a simpler time. Went here today with my pups and enjoyed the sunshine, beauty, with good tunes. A new memory for the books. Always, five stars, for this very significant park.

Love it here at Oxnard Beach Park. Grass is always nice and lush. The pathway is usually always free of dog-poop. The playground is nice and fun, my kids always enjoy it. Tables can be a little poopy from the seagulls. So I advice bringing a table cloth per your visit. Beach is just 5 minute walk away. Because of the area and demographic, sometime’s you’ll get a ghetto boy and his family smoking stogies near the playground. Unpleasant to smell smoke around kids. Don’t understand why they can’t just smoke by their car.

It's very windy when I came and water kinda cold but kids were still excited to play in the water. Quiet on weekdays, crowd were more on the field playing sports or bbq or playground. If you bring wagon or cooler, use main entrance next to public rest room there is a ramp for wheels so that you dont have to exercise on pulling up that wagon on the sand too far, unless you want it that way 😉 It's actuall pretty nice local beach, but if it's too windy it's hard to get relaxed... parking with small fee

This was a great park and beach! There is a huge area for kite flying, running with your dog (I have seen people with theirs), the playground is amazing (and my kids are 7 and 8). One of the best I have seen so far. The beach is not calm, huge waves and it was very cold. But it did not stop us from enjoying it. There are any washrooms so that was great, lots of garbage cans, a few tables, parking is $1 an hour up to $5 for the full day pass. Honestly, a great spot to go!
