We have been shopping here for a very long time. The prices are fantastic. But even better the people, employees and management alike are just the most wonderful group of people assembled in one store I have ever seen. Let me tell you a story I will never forget and I tell it often when recommending discount freight. 2 years ago my brother-in-law was shopping here. He had driven from mountain view for a pre-op appointment and went in to do his shopping. After the entire scanning process he realized he had forgotten his wallet. He tried calling me but I was not available. He tried calling his wife she was not available. My brother-in-law was handed his receipt and told he could take care of it next time. WOW! This was such a generous and trusting move for any business to make. Without fail when he and my sister were back for his surgery a week or two later I went with my sister to take care of the bill. Not only did they remember the situation they asked how he was getting along with his knee replacement and had mentioned they had been thinking about him. And then icing on the cake another customer realized we were there to pay for groceries previously purchased. I guess she thought it was a financial situation and offered to pay for them. Of coarse this was not needed but how wonderful to find so many people like this in one place.
I recommend discount freight and grocery to everyone, even strangers. I often tell this story. It's one thing to say you are a Christian business, it's an entirely different result to run your business in a Christian manner. That is what is being done here. And because of their actions they attract more people like that nice customer to the store.
I hope this store never changes. Being a business who believes in God and lives by his word is what has made them so successful. We always make discount freight and grocery our number one store. Anything else is just to get something they...
Read moreWe usually go here any time we are in Missouri. We drive up from Texas once or twice a year, and this is normally a great place to stock up on pantry staples without a huge cost.
We traveled from Texas to Missouri Sunday, made multiple stops with our new service pup, no one questioned his role ever. His registration is still pending, we don't have his paperwork yet. However, the Americans Disability Act states that businesses cannot ask for this paperwork. They can only ask what services he provides.
My husband has major depression and anxiety and the dog is trained to keep my husband calm and he is still going through the remainder of his training. This establishment kicked out my husband and his service dog on the basis he didn't have his paperwork on him. All my husband was doing was carrying him due to the anxiety he was feeling in crowds. There was absolutely no reason to request the removal of a service dog from the property, but they did.
If anyone has a need for a service animal for any reason, do yourself a favor and don't shop here. We usually spend a couple hundred just because of what we stock up on to bring back to Texas. I promise you, we will not do that again, and anything in the service animal community we know will also be informed about...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent shopping experience at this location. At first glance, the store looks impressive—well-stocked and inviting—but upon closer inspection, I realized I had been completely deceived. After spending around $120, I discovered that the majority of the products I purchased were expired, not by a few days or even weeks, but in some cases nearly a year past their expiration date.
This is not only unacceptable but also unethical. Customers should never have to question whether the products in a standard grocery section are safe to consume. Selling expired goods on such a large scale raises serious concerns about quality control, customer safety, and overall integrity of operations.
As a paying customer, I trusted this store to provide safe, in-date products, and that trust was broken. Practices like this should not be allowed to continue. I strongly urge management to immediately address this issue—both for the safety of your customers and the reputation of...
