We went there for lunch.. as walking in we noticed the hostess did not smile .only pointed to a table to sit at.. we placed our order and was waiting during this time the hostess still didn't smile.. with each customer greeted no smile (bad day maybe) as we was waiting for our food people was seating next to us and then she walks up to them and says 'You can't sit here you have to many people.. so the table next to us was empty and he kindly asked if we would swap tables of course we said yes even tho our food had arrived. They was grateful.. as we sit at our new table and starting to eat a group of 6 came in the hostess told them it was a 45 minute wait. Mind you there was a empty round table for 6 .. yet still no smile . We was still there eating and the group came in as she was directing other people to tables .. the group came in said they would just sit at the round table .hostess rolled her eyes.. our waitress came and apologized for having to switch tables with The Ruder people.. .one they wasn't rude! 2 had the hostess walked them to a table there would not of been any confusion.. anyway the offered a free desert we we accepted.. . But we took it to go. So other people could sit.. let me say..I love eating here the food is amazing and not over priced.. waitress was exceptional!Thank you Ashley!. However if the hostess can not put people where they should be able to sit without having to move them respectfully by informing them they can't sit at a table maybe she should walk them to one that is suitable for the group and put a smile on her face . Like I said we love eating here but put on a smile fake or not ! . I had brought a friend as it was their first time .. he wasn't impressed with the way things went. But loved the food and atmosphere of the place..Military vet!. Please tell your hostess to put on a smile. We...

Okay, so we're in Ozark, Missouri. Not exactly the crossroads of the culinary world, right? But sometimes, that's where you find the good stuff. The stuff that's not gussied up for tourists or Instagram influencers. The stuff that sticks to your ribs and reminds you why you love to eat.
Cafe B-29 is that kind of place. It's a no-frills diner with a bit of a retro vibe, like something out of a 1950s postcard. You can practically hear the ghosts of Route 66 travelers whispering through the vinyl booths.
Now, I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting much. But then those buffalo wings hit the table. Crispy, tangy, with just the right amount of heat. These weren't some dainty little things either. These were meaty, substantial wings that could satisfy a hungry trucker.
Kimberly and Dad went for the burgers, and let me tell you, these weren't your average fast-food patties. These were thick, juicy, hand-formed burgers that you could sink your teeth into. Dad even had to wave the white flag and take half of his home. That's a testament to the portion sizes, not his appetite, mind you.
The waitress was a sweetheart, all smiles and Midwestern charm. She knew the menu inside and out and made sure we had everything we needed. No pretense, no fuss, just good old-fashioned hospitality.
Cafe B-29 isn't reinventing the wheel, but it's doing what it does damn well. It's a reminder that sometimes, the best meals are the simplest ones. The ones that fill your belly and leave you with a smile...
Read moreI came into this restaurant on a whim and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I called ahead to order my food as I was in route to the restaurant thinking they would be able to have it done in five minutes or so. After ordering on the phone they said it would be 30 minutes until my order was ready so I decided to continue to the restaurant anyway and thought I would just wait for my food. Once I arrived they invited me to sit at the bar, asked me if I wanted a drink, and said she would check on my food in the back. I wasn’t there for more than 10 minutes before she came out and said he is wrapping your food up now and we should be able to get you out of here. I was very pleased with the customer service here and that was without even trying the food. I bit into the French dip that I ordered and was in heaven the delicious Ooey gooey cheese that was dripping from my amazingly scrumptious beef sandwich by was something that words just can’t describe. If you decide to eat at this restaurant I am going to recommend the French dip because it is the only thing I have ordered since coming to this place but I would assume that anything would satisfy your pallet. I want to thank the staff for providing me such a great experience for my first time which in turn led me to come back and be a returning customer. I work for the church which is right down the streetWhich means I will be coming back as much as my bank...
