Really disappointed to leave this review, but I'm not sure what else to say after repeated apologies and assurances. I walked in early August, and discussed having some work done on my bike, including a tune-up and new brakes. The person I spoke to was friendly and gave me some ideas for other upgrades that could be done in stages over time, including a tubeless wheelset. They asked me to leave my bike, and told me someone would call to discuss the project more in-depth. For the next few weeks things just seemed to waffle between confused calls that my bike "was ready", followed by apologies and assurances that someone would reach out to discuss the project. I completely understand that things are busy, but it was sort of silly that I had to leave my bike (which is nothing exotic or crazy; just a 10y/o Jamis in great condition) with them that long just to plan a project; I never even got to the point of having the simple tune up done. After a few weeks of this I went back last Saturday to get my bike and figure out what was going on. There was just more confusion, followed by a very nice and sincere apology from the Manager (or someone I thought was a manager/supervisor/owner) that I seemed to have slipped through some cracks and they regretted everything. I was told that someone would call and/or email me that weekend as soon as their service guy got back, but a week later and no word. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, there was never any harsh tones/words used on either side, I had a realistic and flexible budget, other folks seem to have great experiences....so I am at a loss as to why it was so hard for them to provide decent service. I guess I will just have to continue to drive into the city if I want a cool shop, which...
Read morePurchased a bike here about a year ago and the bike has been decent, it came with a one year labor warranty, within the first month of owning the bike I took it back to get the rear brake looked at because the pressure and the grabbing power had gone down significantly since I bought it. When I took it in they put an air bubble in the line and said it was so I get more brake feel being too lazy to do a 5 min bleed job properly, attempt 1 to get my brakes fixed failed. they always seem to have an attitude when I bring my bike in to get worked on, my most recent visit had me trying to get the brake fixed again months later by a different guy, I told him it needed a flush and bleed and he proceeded to just add new fluid to the old fluid I had already stated was bad, I was present for the whole service and he proceeded to tell me the whole rear braking system needed to be replaced when I knew it did not and then they tried to charge me for the service even though the year service warranty wasn't up. I took it to another shop the same day and they blead and flushed it without any issue. these guys will look at you like you are an idiot, when I tried to explain to them I know how these systems work and was surprised about their dishonest behavior the bike mechanic went back and forth with me for 10 minuets telling me I needed a new brake and looked at me like I was stupid. I am not I don't take my bike...
Read moreThis shop is awesome! After having my bike completely tuned up and repaired at Crank Revolution, it literally feels like I am no longer riding, rather, somehow floating onward so effortlessly! 😂 When I brought it in it was making some noises and had some issues I had been just dealing with for a very long time, and had no idea just how much or what it would need. Jeremy was super transparent and fair with pricing. He communicated to me exactly what he recommended, the clear issues associated, and corresponding cost. The bike was done in only a couple days with all of the work explained to me. When I took it out, it was still having an issue (that only occured when getting moving from a dead stop with increase in elevation or significant elevation gain on the move ..impossible to diagnosis unless riding under these conditions). He initially believed aligning the bent thing properly would work, which of course needed to be done anyway, but it did not fix this problem. I brought it back and he replaced further parts and did not charge any labor fees. the bike was done in only another day. I am so grateful for their knowledge, craft, and skill at this shop. I will surely be returning again for any future problems. Fixing up my bike was an incredibly rewarding and worth while investment and I definitely recommend...
