I really do not like leaving bad reviews but this was my first time picking up at this location. I wish I could say it was a great experience but that wasnât the case.
I truly am so grateful for this service even being an option, especially, because of my medical condition and it making it harder to have the energy to shop when my breathing gets more and more labored, so I am so so thankful. I just hope that somethings can be taken into consideration for a better overall experience in the future.
First issue I encountered, was not being able to reschedule both of my orders for the next day, so I called the corporate number to help and fortunately they successfully moved one order but the other needed to be manually moved so the CS Rep sent an urgent message to the technical team to help. Long story short they didnât take care of the issue manually and so I received a notification that my order was ready for pick-up from the store which was frustrating after just being reassured hours before it would be taken care and updated. I tried calling the store after the surprise text notification I received and had to call several times (phone rang and rang with no answering) before even getting a hold of someone to answer the phone and that took between 20-30min alone. A sweet associate from another department was able to help me finally and get a hold of a Manager, Luis, who was kind of helpful and explained that my stuff would be okay and held even after completed being picked and frozen items would still be frozen so that was a little reassuring (wasnât happy about it but it was reassuring nonetheless). Cut to around 8 or 9pm I receive a call from an associate who does pick-up, so clearly no one communicated to him about what happened even though the manager said he would, so needless to say I was a little frustrated and annoyed and I was already not feeling well so that didnât help me feel better.
Then, there was the issue with not everything being put in bags, even though that option was checked before I placed my online order, (of course only items that can fit in bags) items that can be bagged should be because it makes it easier to carry at least for me.
I had two different kinds of bread, one strongly scented and the other a different scent, so when they were placed in the same bag the stronger scent won and ruined the other because the taste weirdly changes (I know from past experience) so hopefully in the future that can be taken into consideration and be bagged separately because I had to start a return on one bread item.
Finally, when the pick-up associate/associates comes out I normally will go to my trunk and grab items from them so I can be assured items arenât just carelessly thrown in and packed horribly (I have had plenty of bad experiences in the past so finally I just decided to take care of it myself so nothing gets damaged) but not only did I not realize an item was leaking which contaminated another item and made a big mess for me to clean up when I got home, but another item was also damaged and one item missing which I could have taken the time to see if I didnât feel like I was being rushed because the girl who was helping another associate couldnât understand why they were handing me things and kept on complaining that it was so cold. I was cold too and wasnât feeling well and with my medical condition the cold temps can severely impact my breathing even more but I didnât complain (even given all the frustration I had to endure with my pick-up order in general), so hopefully she can be a little more patient and understanding in the future, and most certainly do NOT question why a customer wants something a certain way because obviously there is a reason.
Still am so grateful for this service even being an option but I am not sure I will be coming back to this location,. Hopefully in the future these things can be taken into consideration for a better overall experience because that is what customers really take...
Read moreI made an account just to leave a review and trust me I don't normally leave a review like this. The worst customer service run by the same idiotic manager/lazy workers and the most unpleasant experience in my entire life. In particular, people working in the auto department were extremely rude, inefficient, and had no concept of even half-decent work ethics or whatsoever. One cold morning in January, I was there early morning to get an oil change. I got there early to avoid waiting in line but the door wasn't even open on time and when there was a lazy, dumb girl inside taking her sweet-ass time after she already got there late. When I finally knocked on the door, without even looking up, she raised her index finger signaling me to hold on although she saw me outside the door when she first got there. So I waited and waited for full ten minutes in the cold outside the door while she continued to ignore my presence. By this time, I was already pissed waiting 10+ minutes in the freezing temperature. When the door was finally open, instead of an apology, I was greeted by a rather angry assistant manager who claimed they were trying to find a key to open the door. So I explained to him that all she had to do was to walk up 10 ft from where she was standing when she first saw me and tell me she didn't have a key to open the door instead of ignoring me and making someone wait in the cold. Instead, they argued that they were busy and it wasn't their fault at all. I still decided to get my oil change but here is the real kicker. The same incompetent assistant manager also told me in a very condescending tone if I was looking to get a discount out of all this and walked away. A $4 off out of $40 service? Furthermore, he intentionally delayed opening the garage door for another 20 minutes by disappearing when there were already workers inside. By this time, I ran out of my patience wasting almost an hour of my precious time when these lazy workers absolutely did nothing but continue to aggravate me on purpose. One guy even threatened me that he didn't want to "hurt" me?!?!?! Things don't usually bother me but I had to report these people to Walmart headquarter. These minimum wage workers certainly don't have a brain how to do their jobs properly, have absolutely zero common sense, and also extremely rude to their customers. How could a big chain store run like this? This isn't the first time I had unpleasant experience at Wal-Mart. They often have no price tags or wrong price scanned in and when you bring this up, instead of an apology, they will get mad and yell at you for holding up a line. This is exactly why retailers like Walmart are losing battles with online retailers like Amazon who value their customers. Will never go back to...
Read moreI've been shopping at this Walmart location for 2.5 yrs now. So I have a few things to say. I have had the opportunity to shop as early as 6:30 am and as late as 11:30 pm (currently there are different work hours due to Covid-19) of you go after 9.30 pm you will 100% find the workers stocking isles and cleaning everything. Same if you get there before 9:00 am.
If Walmart is disorganized, is not because their employees aren't doing their job but because us, as customers, either change our minds into what we are getting and instead of putting it back we just lay it around anywhere we want. Or simply grabs stuff and throw it back(Now multiple that by the hundreds that come in every day!) It is a never ending job!
Also there is NOT PRODUCE or MEAT department because this is NOT a SUPERCENTER! (ONLY Walmart supercenter are gigantic and have that extra stuff!) The closest Walmart Supercenter are in Lake Zurich, Wheeling/Buffalo Grove and Mount Prospect.
I do not work in Walmart nor I have anyone who works there. This is just an honest opinion since I shop there almost every day at random times!
Now 4 stars because the down side is that they have been getting rid of cashiers over time, so sometimes there are 1 or 2 Working sometimes 5. (There's always like 9 self checkout stations open at all times).
When I have ask for help, I have always got it.
Now of you do not want to ask for help or can't find anyone to help you. I HIGHLY recommend to download the Walmart app in to your phone. You can easily scan items to check the price and/or you can look for the item you want and it will tell you in which isle you can find it. It even has a MAP with bubbles showing in which area your item is!
Another thing I see is that people complaint a lot about the parking lot, yes there are all kinds of drivers, and Walmart is not responsible for what happens in the parking lot, so if you do not anything happening to your car, just park a little bit farther and walk! A few extra steps might help to save you a headache.
So there it is, you don't have any excuse,...
