Superior Court of California, County of Riverside - Palm Springs Courthouse — Attraction in Palm Springs

I’m a local renter and La Quinta resident since 1983 who had UDPS2201161 and UDPS2300855 at Palm Springs Courthouse. I rent from a real estate investment trust since 2017 and have been dealing with habitability issues for many years. My rent is low/protected and they have been delaying the repairs trying to get me to vacate. I have opened a dozen cases through ICLS and Riverside Legal Aid trying to get my roof leak fixed since 2020. My landlord was able to accept rent right up until the date of eviction and his attorneys Gentner and Krasney had judges and ICLS in their pocket to where my landlord didn’t even have to show up to trial; and ICLS abandoned me. I was badly abused by Judge Klatchko as a result of her impropriety; she made statements that revealed she had spoken with the plaintiff’s attorneys outside the courtroom prior to trial. Judge Klatchko denied an ADA request, became verbally abusive to the ADA litigant and refused to look at any of their evidence; including the UD response which had the tracking information she needed to make a sound ruling. Klatchko would not allow me to object to hearsay when Krasney spoke on behalf of the (absent) plaintiff. She was committed to obstructing due process. Ultimately I was locked out of my house and belongings while my rent was fully paid, and without a 60 day notice to vacate. I’m aware that I have no civil rights as a disabled person, but my roommate and caretaker after my trimalleolar fracture was in charge of the student nutrition at Desert Sands corporate office. He was also evicted with his rent fully paid and without 60 day notice. Someone who works full-time and pay his taxes has no reason that he shouldn’t have civil rights. I’d like everyone to know that 20,000 children at the Desert Sands Unified School District were screwed over on their student lunch as a result of corrupt judges who want to protect a slumlord from making a roof repair. When I tried to report the misconduct from Judge Klatchko to the Riverside Superior Court Executive office they responded by making the electronic transcripts disappear; despite all UD cases in California requiring an electronic transcript. I’m confident anybody else with a transcript from PS1 on 10/19/23 wouldn’t have any issues getting it. When I tried to subsequently file a motion another corrupt Judge (Bustamante) and his clerk Cindy Martinez took criminal off bench action to obstruct said motion. They delayed an ex parte motion during court lunch break on 10/30/23, and again on 11/7/23, 11/15/23, and 11/23/23. At that point, it became apparent that Judge Bustamante was going to obstruct due process on the ex parte motion indefinitely. Multiple judges and court employees worked together to make sure that I would never be able to show any evidence. When I try to point out their corruption, they were able to get the police to kick my door in almost immediately. The police refused to give me any paperwork that shows that they have any legal right to enter my premises. I will attach the complaints on the corrupt judges. I encourage everyone with children in the desert sands unified to file a complaint as well: first with Court Executive Office, then with Council for Judicial Performance and OAG. The citizens of California would want to know about corrupt judges and I have opened a case with the council for judicial performance since writing my review. If you find yourself in one of these judge’s courtrooms request a change of venue. You don’t know if the person you are up in court against has the judges paid off or not! If they have more money than you, it doesn’t appear that it takes very much to pay off a judge at the Palm Springs Courthouse. I will probably get harassed by the police over this but it’s important we put children and the disabled over slumlords. I went through a UD case here after requesting a repair and will say the judges and staff are beyond corrupt. They have free legal aid companies meant to keep you out of the courtroom; you will not be protected by them. There is also bar referral for $40 but they “don’t touch any cases under $10k” so there is no chance of getting a major repair addressed through the court unless you come from an upper class socioeconomic bracket. California law 1941.1 is the landlord’s responsibility to provide habitable premises and CCC 1942.5 says that a tenant can request a repair without being retaliated against.There is something highly illegal called a Self Help Eviction where the landlord delays repairs trying to get a tenant to vacate outside the court system. Many landlords delayed repairs through the entire eviction moratorium to try to get their tenant to vacate. Unfortunately this court does not care about the law; money will always win here. In Palm Springs there is no possible way to get a repair made. I asked the judge to properly apply 1942.5 and my electronic transcripts disappeared. Try to exercise you civil rights and the court may send police to lock you out of your house and belongings while your rent is paid, without notIce. I’d suggest looking in to your judges background. My UD case was seen by a family law attorney who didn’t know landlord/tenant code and her bias was so blaring she wouldn’t even look at the UD response to check the law or relevant tracking. (My UD response was done by ICLS and contained a tracking number that proves the date indefinitely) It’s going to take a major movement to get Riverside Superior Court to recognize it’s tenant’s rights. My case was a couple of days ago in PS4 against College of the Desert. This poor professor was crying, because I sent her some unfriendly emails. Very week. And the clerk decided to stay away from the College, because they're so terribly afraid of me. Guys, Emails don't hurt you. Get out of there and get therapy. Also, i mentioned that I'm allowed to roam next to my professors classroom, because it's public. And the clerk said, that it is about, how she feels or perceived it. No. It's about my right. The rest is her problem. And than the clerk mentioned that "closing down the Community College" is a keyword for using violence, because you know this from the media. You're living in a Hollywood movie, and you can't be helped anymore. I want you to close the court down and move out of poor PS. I did thos because I liked to see their psychology. You know that the Inland Empire (yes, Palm Springs can be also considered to be IE), has a totally different Mentality than the rest of CA. Very fear based, and closed off. V Nobody is allowed to freely speak their mind. Very un-American. I feel sorry for you guys to live in this impoverished environment. Get out of there.
