I'm sure this won't make much of a difference, but I feel my horror story should be shared! My artist was Andy Tassone, whom, upon my first visit with him, seemed to have a portfolio that fit my style. I commissioned his work for a hand tattoo, we agreed on a price and design, which was estimated to take 8 hours. Within the 3rd hour, my hand had been chewed up, which he admitted was "his technique". I understand it had been 15 years since I'd had ink, so?, I'm sure things have changed. He recommended a totally new, and (foreign) hygiene regime which I followed, and a few hours after being home my tattoo began to split and ultimately get infected. I kept Andy informed with photos and text messages with all the problems I was seeing. He immediately placed the blame on me, very defensive texts, and comparing me to other clients, but still (reluctantly) assured me that once it was healed , he could fix it, "NO PROBLEM"! I lost several weeks of work, but finally, it was healed "enough" to go back in it. We scheduled an appointment, and I was 20 minutes from the shop when I get a call stating he'd"left his Tattoo EQUIPMENT AT HOME".(??) But, since I was almost there, come by and let him look at it and he'd be able to work later that afternoon. Never called that afternoon, and when I called him, Andy said he's having a hard time because he's "Car-less". So, we set it up for the following day. When we finally sat down, he wasn't prepared! My tattoo had lost so much ink, I thought he would've needed to re -stencil, or at least use a reference photo, I reiterated how important this design was to me, and without confining his artistic views, there were things that needed to be EXACT! Well?.. non of this mattered to him, and now I'm stuck with the worst tattoo and experience ever, I tried to be understanding, but when it comes down to it, he CANNOT FIX THIS! When I showed Andy the agreed upon artwork, and how unsatisfied I am with this whole situation, now I'm "extremely rude" I offered the only solution to help minimize this experience, A REFUND!?..AND MAYBE THERE'S SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, THAT COULD FIX IT?..BUUUUT?. NO?.. NOT AN OPTION, SO HERE I AM STUCK WITH A HORRIBLE TATTOO! Attached are photos of what it should have been, and what it actually looks like! I'm glad to say I might, maybe, be promised more work to fix this situation,.. if that's so,.. I'll take this review down and totally update! Much much love and R.E S.P.E.C.T to the Real tattooist still walking this earth! #LaTe / NotYouAndyTassone
UPDATE 3-30-2019 THE Tattoo Shop Manager contacted me very promptly after posting this review. He is a very professional, respectable business man and was apologetic regarding the level of service I had received at their establishment. We conversed several times via phone/ text and pictures to come up with a solution. Ultimately, he offered to take time out of his (already busy) schedule and fix this tattoo. I was impressed by the swift action that this business took after hearing what's been going on with this particular artists work and ethic at the establishment. I am happy to say, Andy Tassone does NOT work at Adornment in Palm Springs any longer. I only hope word can travel fast before another tattoo shop gives him a chance to permanently scar anyone else. It's just unsettling that now there have been multiple calls from clients (to the shop manager and owners), with experiences even worse than mine with this guy [Andy Tassone] But all that aside,... I'm very pleased with what Mr. Eric Gibbs (Shop Manager) Adornment Tattoo & Body Piercing has done...

These choices are not as impulsive as main line society makes it. It's personal. It's for US not for THEM! I recently added a small bit of ink to a tat my BFF both got together on our front left shoulder. Just a small creative looking ā¤..she lost her 2yr fight with cancer Feb 28th 2018. I recently underwent 3 major surgeries in 6 months. I wanted a retrace of Heather & I's little heart with a semicolon ; added next to it. MY STORY ISN'T OVER YET. They should have been a date of a relaxing experience. I'm from Seattle and got spoiled to have the same artist for the last 17 years. Since moving to California I've become unfortunately deeply and satisfied with two pieces I have gotten. It was VERY lightweight & the girl that did the semicolon (;) & "retraced the ā¤" tat next to it had VERY negative energy, very angry. It was less than a tranquil experience to say the least. These artists have incredible energy & if you're anything like me..its vital to what I'm personally allowing someone else to do to me. I WILL never use another shop. I'm a committed client of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas pretty disappointed twice so far. An artist of their showed enthusiasm for my work on IG. I messaged tge artist I was coming into their store on Friday (open till 8). I got there around three in the afternoon but the artist hadJUST left. Today I told the artist I was going to be in at 12:45. At 12:46 I entered the store and I felt like stand offish staff didnāt really want to talk to me. (Because Iām older with a gray beard?) I asked for the artist &!they said he was with a customer. I said I would wait because he knew I was coming. At 2:15 he still hadnāt come out and none of the staff had ever even made an attempt to check on me in the lobby. Kind of a clicky group that hung out in the office. I was excited to work with this artist so I waited. Not so excited anymore. Pretty disappointed actually. I think this is more of a Suburban store for young girls like the place in the mall that stapled their ears back.
It may be age discrimination and I do have a beard, Im an artist. I wanted this guy to create full sleeves of my own work because he seemed to appreciate it.
I know people can be uncomfortable with age but never heard of being uncomfortable with $$$. Sleeves are a...
