White House Black Market — Attraction in Palmetto

I debated between two and three stars. Clothing is on-pointe (WHBM always is), and deals were great (yay for outlets!) but the manager here was very rude to my family. I ended up buying clothing there anyway, as I enjoy shopping here and love the clothes - the sales lady (younger lady) was very helpful and sweet. However, after being in the store about 20 minutes, the manager came out of the back area and immediately "barked" at my daughters, who were standing NEAR the mannequins. They weren't hurting anything; they're school aged children and I was watching them the whole time. I don't think she saw me when she fussed at them. If they were upsetting her or worrying her in anyway, I would have appreciated a heads-up or a request to ME (their mother). I'm not sure if she thought I was in the dressing room or just ignoring them, as her line of sight would have been restricted to see me off to the side as she was coming out of the back. There were no other customers in the store and the younger sales associate had been around us the whole time and never had an issue or said anything to me or them. If she didn't want them near the mannequins, she could have addressed me and I would have addressed it. My children are far from perfect, and I have no issue with adults asking them to refrain from a certain behavior, but it can be done with kindness. It made me feel incredibly unwelcome. After trying on a few items, I decided just to buy what I had and leave - I didn't want to continue trying on clothes, knowing that every time they made their stuffed animals jump around or if they were singing songs, that we were upsetting her. I have been to SO many WHBM stores throughout the country (my favorite clothing store) and my daughters frequently come with me. Everyone at my local WHBM know them by name and absolutely love and adore them. They tell stories to other patrons about the time that my daughters came in to buy me Christmas presents last Christmas, and what sweet children they are. Look, kids are kids...we all know they can get too excited or loud, but it was really disappointing that in all the wonderful numerous experiences I've had at WHBM to have this happen. I just...

Had such a super pleasant shopping experience. They have great clothes in the clearance section (in addition to the regular section, beautiful costume jewelry, and most importantly a friendly staff. They actually laughed at my jokes. And really know there stuff when it comes to advice on the fit of their clothes. I didn’t feel judged. And best of all, my coupon didn’t work but one of the senior associates had a better coupon that save me...
