Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Florida

We've given this location several chances and yesterday was the last. Took my son, daughter, and her boyfriend for an early dinner at 4:00pm. When we arrived there were only 2 tables currently sat with other guests. Took almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the front to seat us. (at this point there were several wait staff sitting in a booth socializing and more wait staff walking in the dinning room than patrons in the restaurant). Finally seated and waitress took our drink and appetizer order. Brought out drinks about 5 minutes later, said the appetizers should be right up. About 15 minutes later one of our two appetizers arrived (sampler platter) but the loaded nachos were not ready yet. At this time she informed us they had no baked potato's or ribs (not her fault, but would have been nice info to have before we ever ordered) we placed our orders and began waiting. My daughter only wanted the salad bar, but when she went up it was not fully stocked. The pasta salad section was empty (the only part she wanted), so she came back and sat down, by around 4:40 our waitress came back with the Nachos and when we asked, she said they were stocking the salad bar now. We asked for some extra cheese sauce for the loaded nachos and were told that it cost extra which seems strange, but we ordered it anyway. Daughter went back up and still no pasta salad came back and sat down. Waitress finally came back around 5:10 with 2 of our 3 entrees. When asked about the pasta salad she said they had none. (again, not her fault they are out, but when someone orders it as their meal, you might want to inform them that they aren't getting what they paid for) at 5:20 the 3rd entrée finally came out along with the tiny extra cheese sauce for the nachos. At this time 2 of us had empty glasses on the table and the waitress asked if we would like refills, we of course asked for refills to go with our meals. At 5:35 the waitress stopped by again to check on us and ask if we needed anything, at this point we all needed refills on our drinks (she never brought the two we ordered 15 minutes prior). At 5:40 she brought out the drinks and our check. The salad bar that we never ate was still on the check ($13.99). I asked if there was a manager available and she said she would check. About 10 minutes later she came back with the hand held cc machine so I could pay the check. At this point, I officially gave up on her, and this location. I paid the bill (including the salad bar) and left. Yes I could have continued to complain and insist on a manager, but it was clear to me watching the staff of this location hang out in the booth two away from us even as more patrons lined up at the empty host stand, that there is no desire from any of them to actually improve the place. We've had some so so experiences in the past, and I have spoken to a manager before, but it seems it has just...

We just had the weirdest, most awkward and frankly rude service we've ever had. Food was okayish. My sister and I go to our local Ruby Tuesday maybe once every two months. We always get the garden bar and a couple of steaks and a soda. We like to sit in the bar area at one of the booths. The bartender came over, her name is Madison, she went and got us a couple of cokes and said she would give us a couple of minutes with the menu. She went back behind the bar and helped another customer. The transaction was taking a while, she looked over at one point and told us she'd be right over. No problem, we could see she was busy. When done with the customer she turned around, now mind you she was still behind the bar and we were seated at a booth a good 5-6 feet from the bar with a barstool and the bar between us, and she asked if we were ready to order, we told her yes and expected her to come to our table to take our order. She did not, she whipped out her note pad and asked us what we wanted. I looked at my sister kind of in disbelief and asked the bartender "are you coming over" Her reply was, "no, we take the order from behind here all the time" it's very weird to have to shout your order across the void interrupting the other diners. We didn't feel comfortable to ask any clarifying questions for sure. It continued to devolve from there. At one point we overheard her telling a customer who was waiting on a to-go order that she didn't know how much longer it was going to be because the kitchen is really slow, not busy mind you, but slow. Then I had ordered a baked potato with my meal, when the young food runner brought the food out the potato was missing (food runner was very pleasant) I asked him for the potato and he went back to the kitchen. About 10 minutes later the bartender/server checked on our meals and I let her know I was still waiting on the potato. She went back to the kitchen and came back a couple of minutes later. She said "the reason you didn't get your baked potato us because we ran out, I brought you mashed potatoes if you want them." Places run out, I get that but you think someone might have known in the 20 minutes since we ordered and come to see what replacement I wanted. I mean, WOW, 🤣I've worked in restaurants all my life 40 plus years as management and I have to say that was the weirdest most, akward service I have ever had. April is outstanding! ...food also!

Neli is an outstanding hostess. She greets us with an open door and a smile. She always helps out when she can as a team player! Joleigh is an outstanding server...very pleasant and efficient. Mary is an outstanding manager, always acknowledging us as regulars.

April always makes the dining experience a real pleasure. Food was great as usual. Staff helps each other out in a team effort. RT is one of our favorites. 😍

KayKay was great again...very personable! April always exhibits that team effort in helping out wherever she can...very personable also. Mary, once again, took the time to talk to us. Love the staff, love the food. Best food deals around! Thanks, Ellenton RT.

Whitney was pleasant and very efficient. Chef Mama ALWAYS cooks the salmon perfectly. Ribs and shrimp were great also. Delicious food at a great price!
