I'm not sure where they found their print center employees, but, they're idiots. I had come in to have some pictures printed from my usb and I admit that I hadn't prepared the photos to just simply be printed. But I thought thats also why they were there. To help.
So my main picture for my project didn't have a high enough resolution to be increased to the size I needed. I used my phone to download a higher resolution copy, and emailed it to them. Once the clerk informed me it may take over night to resize and print 13 pics on normal paper with lazerjet ink, I requested she put the picture from the email on my thumb drive and I would take it home to resize them myself so all she had to do was print them. When I got home I had realized that SHE PUT SOMEONE ELSE'S PICTURE ON MY DRIVE! All of my pics were of the same activity. Clearly the one she put on there wasn't even remotely related to what I had. Luckily I still had it on my phone to transfer to my computer.
I return to the store about an hour and half later, pics resized to what I need, all she had to do was print. The main pic, being 6.25" by 30", was the main concern on detail. It looked good enough to do my project, however, it was an inkjet printer and wouldn't transfer for my project. In the middle of helping me, she was also helping other customers and doing random tasks. Fine, she was back there by herself. No problem. But I could have been out of there by now if she knew what she was doing. I kindly asked for my thumb drive back, when she said "okay, but I was just about to print them." She didn't give me the thumb drive back as requested, which was a little more irritating. She finally printed my 12 other pics to fit the page, 8.5x11, when they were only supposed to be printed to size, max being 6.25x11.49. Complete waste of materials! So she got those printed to the size I needed, but we were still brainstorming the larger pic. I asked if there was anyway to print it on 3 separate papers I could piece it together for my project. She was able to, however, again, she blew them up to the actual size of the paper, instead of the resized format I made it. Yet again, complete waste of materials because it was way too blurry and the wrong size. By this time I was over it and proceeded to check out with what I DID have to work with. I think it was a blessing in disguise that my son had used most of the money on my card because I couldn't pay for them and on my way home to get cash, I got more upset thinking about the entire situation. I didn't go back.
Fast forward to today, I was able to print them the way I needed them on my work printer with ease, and I'm not even proficient in photo editing! I won't ever use their services again if they keep hiring people who aren't experienced or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI use to hate going in this store. Online orders were never filled, trying to locate someone was impossible.
TODAY THOUGH... There's a new young lady and young man who is take "take charge" no B.S. My wife placed an online order half hour before I got there. Usually if I pick the order up after waiting 3 hours they still hadn't pulled it. I walked in looked on the pickup shelf and it was not there. I was immediately greeted by Tyrick who started to help me. Then the young lady at the register heard me say we place an online order. She asked "Sumner"? Yep I said! (Finally I got a professional a good feeling this was going to go correct.) That young lady's name is Tya. She immediately told Tyrick it was in lockup. Tyrick immediately grab the keys retrieved our items and met me at the register. Tya followed that up with something like "make sure that you scan that out of lockup". Clearly this was a training opportunity. She explained to him why it had to be scanned out of lockup or not just hand it to the customer. He was very receptive and was very diligent. I was in and out of there within 2 minutes, one minute of it was me telling them what a great job they did. I can only assume Tya is the store manager and Tyrick was assistant manager. If she is not the store manager she should be.Tya was an In charge no BS person. I hope all this Depot does their best to keep these two, because they are certainly a team. Just WOW... If I took the time out of my day to post this that means they did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever contacted me to tell me that my order was ready. When I called in to check on it, the lady was very rude. Went to the store to pick it up and stood at the counter for 10-plus minutes and nobody so much as made eye contact with me. So I called the store while I was standing there. A guy named Bob answered the phone, walked over to where I was standind and told me "I'm sure they'll be with you in a few minutes." I told him that I had already been waiting for 10-plus minutes and no one has helped me and that I was there to pick up something that I already paid for. So he went behind the counter, grabbed my order, handed to me and said here you go. Clearly he was annoyed...
I can understand being patient if they were busy, but to not let me know that my order was ready, then be rude to me on the phone, then to completely ignore me while standing at the counter is unacceptable.
Get it together Office Depot. You're...
