Harbor Freight — Local services in Panama City

Great place, and normally I love to shop here. I’ve had a ton of great experiences except for today. Went in to purchase a broom, tv mount, clamp and cut edge, and trimmer and was met with an employee who not only did not know her job, but also asked for me to go back to the end of a 10 person line after I had just waited patiently in line for my turn. See while I was walking around and I passed the clearance isle, an employee said hey I see you’re buying a hedge trimmer, you should check this one out on clearance. It was an older brand and didn’t have a price but he said the cashier will ring it up to tell you the price. I said okay, and went on to check out figuring I’d be going home with one of the trimmers. The lady snarled at the idea that she had to price check it, and then when it ended up being more expensive than the Bauer deal for a trimmer I of course said I’ll take the Bauer with the battery deal. She said sir I don’t think there’s a deal on this item are you sure. I said well I can check (knowing she could too but didn’t seem to want to). Anyways I said if you could ring up the other 7 items I’m getting and I’ll go grab the battery which was literally 10 steps to the right wall. She said just step to the other checkout and if you are right then let me know. I obliged, and after taking the 5 seconds to grab the battery I waited for her to finish with the next two people before I spoke. I figured she’d turn around and check me out. Well no, and when I said hey ma’am I was right it’s the deal, she said okay no go back at the end of the line. I normally would never say anything because I know people are just trying to make a living, but I was mad and couldn’t hide it. I said you’re asking me to go back to the end of the line? She said yes. I said I think that’s a bit ridiculous, and I assumed someone working here would know the deal number 1, and number two could check instead of me checking if you didn’t know. I almost just left my buggy full of items and left, but I didn’t because that wouldn’t have been right. I went to another employees line and waited in then. The cashier that checked me out was pleasant thankfully. I don’t normally leave reviews and I’m sure people only do when it’s bad. I will make sure to leave good ones from here on out to compensate for this, but someone should train this employee on customer service. If one of my employees acted this way, they wouldn’t be working for me. This was on 2/4/2024 at 3:45pm. Employees...

Well me and my husband come in for dump trailor Jack. 299.00 large one on the counter . Got the ticket was told to go to the front by the guy coming from the back. Didn't catch the cashier that waiting on us name. No hello, especially with the other fifteen guys standing in line. Jessica had supervisor under her name tag stood watching the customers with out any helping to get the line down. There was a second cashier that was as busy. Then one cashier came in from no where and started checking people out. With the one we were at was trying to look up merchandise to scan our other things we got like she was flash . I call the Panama city store a week later, was there was two in stocked and my husband went to pick it up. Sam the cashier that took my call let me know she was multitasking, after I asked if she was talking to me. I asked if she she could hold the jack until I got there. For the day . My husband went to pick it up after being told there was one there. My husband checked yesterday and it sold as he walked through the door. As a cashier myself I take pride in customer service. With rudeness at Harbor Freight with money that the company does is not except able. I hope the right people get this email. Like the store manager. Have a Merry Christmas....

Unfortunately, I cannot say that I would buy another thing from Harbor freight tools being that they sell stuff that does not work off-the-shelf or off the table. I bought a sawzol from them. That was on the table open box table and I didn't use the tool for I think it was 3 weeks I. Decided to put a battery in it and Try it and when I did it didn't work. So I brought the tool back to the store. And they told me that they would not return it because it was after 5 days once again. I did not use the tool. It was still new, and they still wouldn't return it, so their policy is kinda crummy to me, and they had no explanation other than They said it was after 5 days. Thought it was pretty awful since i've spent thousands and thousands of dollars with these folks I won't return
