Hollydale Dog Park — Attraction in Paramount

I will NEVER!!!!! Take my Tobby to a dog park I have 2 golden retrievers they are lovable and playful not aggressive in any type of way, today is Tobbys birthday and I thought it would be nice to take him and Luna out and play to a nice dog park so I found this one, very nice park by the way.....it has a large caged area for the dogs to play, this is my second time taking him to a dog park, I see all the dogs playing getting along so I felt comfortable walking into this place, when you walk in the first gate you’re in a box and off to the sides there are two gates one for the little dogs to the left and one for the big dogs to the right, I see all the dogs together at the gate I thought wow they come to greet my Tobby Because if you take your dog to a dog park obviously is because it doesn’t have aggressive tendencies right? Well WRONG!!!!!!!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!!the owners are standing around not even trying to move their dogs so I can walk in, I open the gate a little bit and 4 dogs flud in to my section One of them (German shepherd) jumps on Tobby, Immediately attacking him grabs him by the back of his neck and wouldn’t let him go, I panicked my girls panicked I never thought that bringing Tobby to a dog park to play he would be attacked😭thank god he is ok and nothing major happened but i will never let him associated with strangers again i love him to much to ever expose him to getto ass untrained...

My dog is 7 months and he has never been to a park at all but I decided his first visit to a park should be this one. When I would go to this park to play basketball I would see the dogs and they all seemed happy running around so I took my dog and he loved it he ran around I was not afraid that he would leave the area because the gate is secured and he loved the equipment there it was perfect to train him to go up the teeter totter. It is not too busy with dogs and my dog had so much room to run around really clean play area as well. I would recommend it if you want to take your dog for a quick visit and also if it's a first time for your dog...

Our dog was attacked by another dog today. No stiches needed, but an event that had both my wife and I very shaken by this traumatic event. More and more new dog owners are coming to this park. As a result, there are more dog owners that don't pay attention to their dogs/ haven't socialized them very well. Today we were the victim of a neglectful dog owner. This is a good dog park, but its starting to seem more like a day care where owners drop off their pets and disregard their pets actions/warning signs of aggression.
