Maclovia — Restaurant in South Gate

I don’t know where to begin. First I get there and no one even came up to me and hey, what are you here for? I had to wait till I flagged someone down to put my name down. After the weight, I finally got a table and it took 15 minutes to get someone to take my drinks and I decided because I was starving to order my food. Once we order our food we waited and we waited and we waited. We literally waited an hour and a half. We gave up and we decided To leave the waitress gave us an attitude because she was saying oh the food is almost gonna come out. We literally saw the people have been here way longer than I was barely receiving their food so there was no way that we were barely going to get our food.

We told her to ring us up for a drink and she gave us attitude for that and for three drinks they charged us $20

I would tell people unless you wanna wait for two hours to eat then come by but if you don’t want to wait over 1 hour don’t come. Unorganized, rude and very unprofessional people don’t...

I work down the street and had been here before it changed ownership. I think this new place is even better than the previous! My husband and I both had the fish (I got the salmon with spicy pickled onions and he got the filet with salsa verde. Both plates came with crispy potato wedges, brocolli with roasted garlic and chile, and a mixed green salad. It was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad to see healthy options at a Mexican restaurant!

I also ordered an agua fresca de pepino and it was really good, but a little overpriced for a 16 Oz drink ($6.35).

Overall, the service was great (I ordered take-out, but the owner was still super hospitable and offered me a drink and chips and salsa while I waited). I am really rooting for this...

Food was ok.We had a kids breakfast, and grilled cheese.To drink I ordered an horchata that came in a huge glass..I thought that was too much but oh well, drank half.Also, ordered a wet burrito(that comes with a salad for starters😺never seen that before) and a tostada mixta.Tortilla on burrito was hard as a rock, difficult to cut thru..And shrimp on tostada looked odd, Had a few bites had to use the bathroom right away, didnt think anything of it..as soon as I got home I had to rush to the bathroom..then two more times!! I had to take something for the horrible pain..just felt horrible! I wont be going back there and to others that decide to try the place don't do the...
