I had my wedding there recently, have many pros but a couple cons. Pros- beautiful scenery, great vibes and the bartenders Chuck was absolutely amazing and super friendly, the owner is super nice and you can tell was family oriented. The only couple cons I can say is the caretaker jim was not very nice or helpful when speaking to my family when setting up, things were confusing as he didn't show us where the tables were and we were missing a few but thankfully Chuck showed us! Also it states on the day of your event you can come at 11am to finish setting up, which my family came at noon (ceremony at 3pm) to finish decorating and he had the doors locked and said we couldn't come until 2pm?? For a wedding that's insane and thankfully I have a copy of the contract incase there were further issues. My family also stated they had figured out how to turn on all the lights since Jim was not around and being helpful. I also witnessed Jim myself helping himself to food that I paid for per plate for my GUESTS, if he was helpful I wouldn't have minded, but what bothered me the most is he went up before all the tables were even served. I made eye contact with him but chose not to say anything because im not that kind of person. Thankfully i had a few guests who couldnt come so i had some extra food. But he was no help at all if anything Chuck should've gotten food as he was so helpful and kind enough to donate a couple bottles for our event. Otherwise the wedding was beautiful and we all had a wonderful time! I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding/party, but just be very clear with communication when working with...
Read moreI dont recommend having private events here. We decided to switch venues during covid to German Central for a more private and quaint event and at first things seemed like they would be wonderful and go smoothly. I met with the event coordinator several times who had said 1 thing at 1 meeting and then there was a different rule or request of us at another meeting. After the third meeting I began having regrets as we didn't know from one time to the next what ball was going to be dropped on us next, from the number if people allowed to being told we could use items from another building. There was no honesty or trust. We were very nervous as to what the event coordinator was going to say or change next. We got through the wedding day but after the event, when inquiring about the deposit, was told by the event coordinator that we were not getting deposit back and we knew why? When I inquired as to why, was told its documented and you know why again. When I asked for copy of documentation, all communication stopped and they would not answer calls or texts. Very disrespectful and rude. Im just sharing our experience, I can only say be cautious and get everything in writing in detail if you have a private event here. I wouldn't count on getting deposit back,...
Read moreGerman Central hall parma ohio. horrible experience since we got there to decorate we got screamed at and we felt very disrespected. The guy was very rude and impatient I was talking Spanish to my sister because she doesn't know English and he came to us saying "blah, blah, blah what language are you guys speaking? I don't talk that language. Also he was pulling a cart full of heavy chairs and ran over someone foot and didn't say sorry. Also the manager was asking for my one of my married guest phone number and harassing the photographer by saying: "Hi how nice to see you again. The photographer says" what do you mean? this is my first time here, and then the guy said I can't forget that body and your face. we recorded from the beginning of the party to the end and they said we served alcohol when we have proof that we didn't just so that they would...
