Only way the folks are nice to here is when they are getting over on you! And if you minority you have no dealings here. I work for a junk removal company and I find all sorts of things and have been in this place over and over over. Well one time the gentleman was helping me I had what I thought was silver forks, he tells me that he gonna go in the back and weigh them, he come back not even 30 sec later like “I’ll give you 10 bucks” hands me a slip that says something totally different then what I sold him !mind you it’s about 200 forks and spoons they’re still in the slot in the case and there is no way possible to take the sooons and things out weigh them and put them back in the slot in 30sec! So I take the ten dollars leave then sit in my car in the parking lot, I decide to go back in and say my friend says he wanted to keep them so I got the money back but had to lie! And then every time I go in after that he rude to me he doesn’t like me no one there does I feel my business is not wanted and I come here over and ever even tho I know I’ve Ben gotten over on a few times! I am and 17 year resident of the old Brooklyn community I don’t deserve to be treated like I’m a nuisance or I’m try trying to steal! Emeral down on brookpark would...
Read moreHonestly extremely disappointed, but I guess I should not be surprised, since the store was completely empty except for employees when I came in. Brought in some coins to sell, and whoever appraised them said they could not even come close to what I was asking. I had done my homework beforehand. Although I had not sold to this store before, I have sold to other coin shops, so I knew what to expect. At least I thought I did. I asked for 60% of eBay sold items of the same coins and gave him that dollar amount. The gentleman told me he could not even come close to what I was asking. Which really surprised me. Looking at the prices they charge, especially for gold, you would think they paid a lot closer to retail. I understand they have to make money, which is why I came in at 60% of sold items.
Do yourself a favor, and drive the extra miles to Stow and go to Executive Coin. They gave me the price I was looking for, which was fair to BOTH parties,...
Read moreI brought a $250+ coin and they offered me $15! Yes, FIFTEEN DOLLARS! They thought I was some ignorant yokel who didn’t know what he had and tried to fleece me with an insanely low offer. I called Jason (owner) out on it, and he doubled down and insisted this 219-year-old US constitutional silver draped bust half dollar in very fine condition is worth as much as a happy meal. Nice try buddy! I just sold one in worse condition for $270 (see picture). I’m never bringing them anything again. They insulted my intelligence and tried to take advantage of me, thinking I knew nothing about numismatics. If he wasn’t interested (many dealers don’t want holed, cleaned, scratched coins, etc), he just should have said so instead of slapping me across the face with a ridiculous and absurd offer. I would’ve been less insulted if he would have thrown a handful of pennies at me in exchange for my half dollar (and the post-1982...
