Vina Vieja Park — Attraction in Pasadena

One of the best dog parks for the dogs any how. There are two sections big dogs and small dogs. Great idea. Granted the big dog side is worn out and looking bad. Much like Griffin park dog area but with benches and shade. Where the small dog area is better and generally has grass for the most part. Several benches and places to sit. The park has bathrooms near the play ground. Yet they often have no soap and other needed bathroom supplies. The bathroom is like ones you would find at some beaches. Very nice large neighborhood park consisting of 3 separated park areas, 2 separated playgrounds one of which has a bathroom and large gazeebo, and a large dog park. Don't use the water fountain by the bathroom. It smells dangerous. There are a handful of vagabonds and homeless people who sometimes show up. Most are nice or loners. I've been here a lot, and I've only heard 2nd hand of one violent incident which was mentally ill on mentally ill, one of which is in housing now. My dog was bitten by a big dog the day before yesterday. He ended up at an emergency clinic and had to have surgery. Some of those big dog owners are not watching their dogs properly so it can easily over power other dogs and cause severe injuries to other dogs.There was no apparent fighting just rough play which resulted in a bad bite to my dog..
