on 10/18 i went to the location in Pasadena, when i first walked in i was not greeted by anyone i was there for about 10 min before anyone acknowledged me, then after they realized i was there i told them that i would like to place an order togo, i ordered 2 chicken fried rice and steak medium rare and shrimp and the other plate was medium rare steak and sesame chicken and 2 onion soups, they told me the wait was 25 mins, the wait was about 45 mins i went in and i asked the manager Micheal who had a green shirt on if my food was ready there was food on the counter bagged he asked my name and went and looked at the food and came back and told me it was not ready and to wait another 10 mins, i sat there for about another 15 mins and the gentleman that took my order told me what i was waiting for i said my food and he walked over to the same exact counter the manager did and said your food is ready and handed me 2 bags that the manager went and looked at, and said that was not my food and to wait, it took me about 20 mins to get home, when i got home i relieved that they gave me the wrong soup that my husband is alergic too and needed to take Benadryl because they gave me miso soup, Also noticed that the steak was cooked well done and it was dry. The food was cold and there was no fried rice in either orders,i called the store and told them that i was very upset because the food was not complete the steak was over cooked and it was no fried rice for either others, so i drove another 20 mins back to the location asked for a manager, preferably Michael , they said michael went home for the night and that the manager there was Ian, i told ian that i waited 45 mins for my food spent over $100 and had to drive over 20 mins, he told me that he could reheat my food and give me the two missing items, i was extremely upset, never had i ever experienced this service i always come here bout 2 a month, i told him that i did not want reheated food because my order was not complete i told him the steak was no cooked Medium rare I told him that I would like fresh food because now my food is extremely cold and I would like my steaks to be cooked, medium rare. The food was dry, so I asked if they could add butter while cooking, I also asked if he could throw in a thing of sushi since I have to wait because I was extremely hungry and I've already waited now extremely long, he told me he could not give me anything but the rice and redo the food, i told Ian thank you and sat down, as i was there waiting i noticed a gentle who was also complaining about his food not being cooked right and missing items a lady from altadena expressed dissatisfaction with her food as well and begged then to double check that everything was there, also another gentlemen who order togo asked for them to check the food to take it out the bag and look and make sure it was done, they even gave him a hard time, i waited about another 45 mins for my food to come out, finally ian brought it to me and it was complete and the order was right and he gave me the sushi i asked for, i waited a total of 2 hours between waiting and driving back and forth i will no longer come to this location any more the...
Read moreThis is based on 1 male server service and the response of the manager. (First time I’ve ever given $0.00 as a tip and I tip 15% even if I had below average service and up to 30% if I had a real good service) I went there to relax and have a chill birthday dinner with the family. Everything started well and dandy. He took our drink and food order. Gave us the appetizer and after our teppan grill chef cooked our entree for us, (I tipped him extra for his service and was going to tip more at the end of the meal, the server then delivered the rice. After this point the dinner was still going decent, after eating and talking with the family about what I did over the weekend for my birthday 15 to 20 minutes had already passed. I did keep seeing him serve one more table next to us (that's a total of 2 he was serving). I was like ok, let's wait a bit more. We kept waiting a bit more to see if anyone was gonna come to us for anything, NOTHING. We had to hunt down another server to help us get more water, togo boxes, any updates on the server that was helping us, and the check (at this point I was already frustrated). We finally got some water and the bill from another server. I waited a few more minutes for a box and for someone to pick up the check to process, STILL NO WORD from our server or another. I had to go to the front for someone to process the card and grab the togo boxes. I WAS TILTED. I’ve never seen or had such a good ghosting session besides how Rihanna ghosting Drake, oof. The only excuse which was the saddest managing response my older sister had gotten was Sorry, cause of covid. WAIT WHAT, how does COVID mess up decent service. I have never been so confused and gotten such abysmal service. Me and my sister have a combination of 10 years of food service working experience from different types of restaurants. This has been my first ever review and it was a rant review (sigh) because I love food and hate to complain about food but this was just sad. Thank you SOOOOO much for making me waste 10 minutes of my life writing this. I really wish there was a negative rating. Please I am begging you, save yourself from frustration and drive 10 to 15 more minutes towards LA to get...
