Round Island Lighthouse — Attraction in Pascagoula

This is a small lighthouse near downtown Pascagoula. It is well maintained and on lovely grounds.

There is no close onsite parking. We walked from Public downtown parking (only 0.3 miles one way). We did not choose a tour. It is directly off the main through way/intrastate.

We chose not to do the tour because it didn't seem as though you would see the bay or water from the top. It has been relocated...

The lighthouse is beautiful! The only issue is that no one can go in to see except for Friday's and Saturday's from 10-5 Admission cost $2.00 for adult's and $1.00 for children. My family and I came down for what we thought to be a 9:30 tour as stated on the website The website did not say anything about Friday and Saturday only. My first time inside an actual lighthouse. I'm scared of heights so climbing those stairs to the top was hard, but I did it. Then there's a ladder to climb to the light. Once I was up there I got scared so I took a few pictures and went back down. It was a really nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone who likes lighthouses.
