Where do I begin? We’ve been RV’ing for years, and in that time, we’ve experienced numerous parks across the country. Without question, Franklin County RV Park in Pasco, WA stands out as one of the absolute best. Our five-month stay flew by, and each day was even more enjoyable than the last.
Susan, the park manager, is simply outstanding—professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Her dedication ensures that the park is always clean, well-maintained, and inviting. The gardeners were punctual every Tuesday, keeping the grounds perfectly manicured, adding to the park’s serene atmosphere. The bathrooms and laundry facilities were always spotless, making our stay feel as comfortable as being at home. The pricing is fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality of the park and its amenities. Tri-Cities attractions are plentiful and easily accessible from the park.
Pasco has every modern convenience you could possibly need, all within minutes of the RV park. Whether it’s Costco (just four miles away), Super Walmart (less than two miles), or an abundance of local businesses offering services from dog grooming to organic groceries—you’ll find it all nearby. And if that weren’t enough, the park is right next to GESA Stadium, offering two massive sports greenbelts, perfect for everything from baseball games to skating and hockey. Plus, the HAPO Center next door offers a state-of-the-art gym membership with Olympic pool lanes, Jacuzzi, kids' indoor pool, yoga, spin classes, and more. The membership is incredibly reasonable for all the services it provides.
If you’re traveling with pets, as we were, you’ll find the park incredibly accommodating. With ample green spaces nearby, your dogs (and even your cats) will love it here. And of course, as with any responsible park, cleaning up after your pets is essential, but Franklin County RV Park does an excellent job keeping everything pristine.
In addition to these conveniences, the Columbia River is just minutes away, providing opportunities for boating and water activities. If you’re visiting in August, you can even take advantage of the local County Fair, with a free shuttle service from the HAPO Center.
Quiet hours in the park are from 9 PM until morning, providing a peaceful environment for all guests. You’ll find that the RV hookups are top-notch, with your rig sitting on clean concrete pads (no mud or grass!), offering both 30- and 50-amp options. Despite running our three A/C units, our electricity bills were always more than reasonable. The water here is fresh, clean, and delicious, and there are plenty of conveniently located dumpsters for easy trash disposal.
Though at first glance the park may seem like a concrete-heavy layout, the beautiful trees and greenery make it feel more like a peaceful retreat. And, as mentioned before, the greenbelts across the street offer a lovely place to walk and enjoy nature.
Whether you’re staying for one night or several months, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. If you have family or friends visiting, the Holiday Inn Express just feet away from the park is a convenient and welcoming option. And I can’t say enough about the camp hosts—they changed while we were there, and both the previous and new hosts were incredible—helpful, kind, and always treating us like family.
A few quick tips:
When arriving, enter the RV park from Highway 68 via Convention Center Drive. This will give you plenty of maneuvering space, especially for Class A motorhomes or 5th wheels. Avoid entering via Wrigley Drive as the turn into the park is tight. Similarly, when leaving, use Convention Center Drive for easier access back to Highway 68. Planning your entrance and exit ahead of time will save you some hassle and make your arrival and departure smoother.
Have fun, and...
Read moreI have to say first of all that when I talked with the host on the phone she was very friendly and helpful and so for that I would give her 5 stars BUT it also seemed the office was never open once we arrived. If you were to need anything it appeared you needed to go to their host site. And it was overall just not what we were expecting in an RV place. My family of 8 with 6 kids ranging from ages 5-14 yrs old are used to staying with KOA where there is grass, playgrounds and other things for kids to enjoy during your stay at the place. But the KOA was booked so we ended up here bc my elderly in-laws chose this place and we thought staying with them where they were would be best for them. We were literally on pavement in a parking lot. Also the restrooms available to people who camp here are VERY SMALL, one toilet and one shower in one restroom and one other restroom available on the premises and did not appear to look much bigger than the first one described. The only positive aspects of our stay was that it was conveniently located to what we were visiting the Tri Cities for and also located right across from a baseball stadium so my kids could watch the softball games happening from our spot when they stepped outside to get some fresh air. Anyway, overall I would say it would be a great place for elderly people who just need a place to park their camper and don’t do much aside from sleep in their camper and go visit and do other things for the day and it is very affordable and budget friendly. But if you are a family with young kids this is not the place to camp with them, I also needed to keep an eye on my kids bc we were right beside a street and just a sidewalk bt our camper and the street!!! And I also could not get the WiFi password to work, copied and pasted right from my confirmation email, I think maybe our spot was just too far away in the parking lot from the main hot spot...
Read moreI call'm as I feel/see'm... We had an 'acceptable' experience here, but there were hiccups, and yes, it's more my preference for RVing, rather than this being a bad property. I am NOT a fan of booking a specific site, paying in full (half a year in advance), and NOT getting it, when we would absolutely be showing up at their posted check-in time. I get it. It's a holiday weekend, and you want to maximize your $$$ opportunities, but dang it....c'mon. We went from reserving the best site (#22), to being given Site #1, which is the very first one you see, directly across a beautiful parking lot. Their bathroom was a football field away from the site. It was unisex w/shower, and 8 times outta 10 you went to use it....it was occupied, and someone was taking a shower. You won't--and can't--wait in that situation. I don't begrudge the folks using the facilities in that regard, but it was untenable. Thankfully, I spotted a porta pot off their property that was available, yet still a football field away. It became the Wifey's and my personal pissatorium. To note, we never saw the camp host. She seemed nice when we got a call on our way down to see if we were, 'Still coming?' Maybe we disappointed her when we said we were on our way. I can't help feeling that if we missed her call, Site #1 would have been given away, and we would've been s* outta luck when we showed up...
