The current floods in New Jersey are devastating; but the falls are magnificent. The park is open during the day year round. Try to visit a few different times. The seasons and level of water in the river make a dramatic difference to the appearance of the falls. It’s impressive when the river is flooded but picturesque when at a normal level. In the extreme cold of the winter the falls can freeze, never completely anymore, but the ice is impressive. Also view the falls from multiple angles. There’s a walkway over by the stadium and the park around the other side by the Alexander Hamilton statue.
Parking is not obvious but on the nearby side street, Maple St, there’s usually on street spots available with no meter.
I don’t know of any bathrooms in the park though there may be some.
The park appears to be undergoing extensive renovations so can’t wait to see when it’s finished. If you’re in the area take some time to tour the other historic sites nearby. Read moreThis is a good waterfall in the mid of city. Infact you may not even realize, it is that hidden 😎. It's a blessing in the center of New Jersey city and near to New York. Place is neatly maintained. They have support volunteers present to help and guide. Cross ❌ over bridge 🌉 walk was closed. Other walk around tracks were open. Lot of photogenic spots are being created for family, group and solo photos. Water flow is very swift making rainbow 🌈 of the droplets. It's a small fall but beautiful and when you stand near by and hear it's very soothing and relaxing 😎. See pics and videos for more details.
