⚠️ WARNING: Lena & Carbon (more like Lena & Cabron) — Stay Away! ⚠️

We just had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever at Lena & Carbon in New Jersey, and I feel obligated to warn everyone.

First of all, the service was absolutely unacceptable - slow, disorganized. But the real problem? They tried to take advantage of us by double-charging items, inflating prices right on the bill.

To give you an example: • Our Pisco clearly listed at $12 online and even confirmed over the phone with another location of the same chain magically turned into $27 on our bill. • We double-checked — same restaurant name, same dish, but they thought they could sneak that by us.

When we confronted them, they danced around the issue, offering no valid explanation, no apology, and no correction.

This place doesn’t just serve overpriced food — it serves up deception.

Honestly, the only thing authentic about Lena & Carbon is how fast they hustle to pad the bill. They should rename the place to “Lena & Cabron” — because you’ll feel scammed by the time you walk out.

Never again. Save your money, your time, and your dignity — plenty of honest Peruvian spots nearby that actually respect...

I’ve been at strip clubs that I felt less like they were just after my money. I order a meal which was l $17 for chicken and rice fine whatever but they gave me one green sauce. So I said I wanted more was willing to pay and they charge me one dollar for each little shot glass. I was annoyed but I paid it and then I realize it still wasn’t enough so I went back so the woman who did not speak English in Paterson New Jersey said $6 and you get a big cup all right. Wish you would’ve told me that earlier. She goes to ring me up, she says I have eight dollars in my hand so she changes it $7 OK clearly are at this point this woman had no regard for my money. The foods OK it’s Peruvian chicken and rice. I don’t understand how they get away with charging or the only part of the meal that makes it different. When I go to Italian restaurant, they don’t charge me $.50 for grated cheese. If you’re going to do that, at least have the decency to speak English even...

What is a pollo la brasa without it's aji?

I order through Uber, and when my order arrived I saw that I was missing the extra aji that I paid and also missing the aji that came with the order. I ordered 2 extra aji because I ordered two orders of the pollo la brasa. When I called to let them know what happened, the woman over the phone simply blamed the Uber driver for not double checking and reminding her. I told her it's not Uber job to double check an order that you prepared. Blaming it on Uber instead of apologizing for the error was just very unprofessional. Won't be ordering from this place again.
