The Hill of Heroes is located within Veterans Memorial Park in the Hayden Heights neighborhood of Paterson. It serves as a tribute to local service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The memorial features a soaring obelisk and hosts annual ceremonies on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Recognizing the need for inclusivity, investments were made in 2019 to construct an ADA-accessible road, parking lot, and walkway, ensuring that disabled veterans and elderly visitors can fully participate in commemorative events.
The Paterson Veterans Council actively engages the community in maintaining the Hill of Heroes, organizing volunteer efforts to preserve its dignity and appearance.
