Normally I don't have issues with this Gamestop, but I just walked out of the store and the skinny girl with the that refers to people as "man" a lot, was super rude with me. I had come in a few weeks ago to buy the Kontrol Freak controller grips for ps4 controllers and the tall guy with short hair and glasses was kind and friendly. He showed me three options to choose from and showed me the same product I was looking for, in addition with a newer , slightly updated version. I chose the new version, and I really liked them. I wish I'd left a review for him, it would be 5 STARS. Well I came in to find those same grips and the girl was rude about telling me, she didn't have them. Saying things like "well we don't have them and we never did" when I corrected her politely on this explaining that I got them from here not long ago. It was another denial response. She even told me " well I already told you I didn't have them and I didn't want to repeat myself again, because I've already said it four times." I understand she thinks I don't know what I'm talking about, but she should be more careful. I 100% purchased them from this game stop , it's the only one I come to frequently. I'm surprised she didn't handle this better and I'm offended.

Okay I went online and searched for the updated grips I mentioned, it turns out the girl is right about there being no such thing. On Amazon I found the package that the product came in, but it says at the bottom, "packaging may very". So it must have been placebo effect that I thought there was any difference, because I even came home and compared the new ones, I purchased from her ANYWAY, and it's the exact same product. So, to her credit, she did tell me that it could have just been different packaging. BUT.. (and I have no problem sucking it up and admitting I was misinformed) she STILL needs to be instructed on how to handle situations like this in a positive manor with a positive attitude. The way this girl responded to everything I said unless it was "may I have 'so n so' product?" Or "thank you, have a good one" was just completely out of line, and I'm not exaggerating. I think today, anything that would prompt to make her job "harder" would just trigger the attitude she had with me. And I didn't even have one with her!! Ha! A few days before the release, I placed a pre-order and paid in full. When I arrived for the midnight release, I was told I couldn't pick up my purchase because I hadn't ordered the day before release. I had to wait until the next day to receive a product I'd already fully paid for.
This policy was never explained to me when I placed my order. If the employee had been upfront about this requirement, I could have made other arrangements. However, they were happy to take my full payment without mentioning any pickup restrictions.
To make matters worse, the employee claimed he would "get fired" if he released my already-paid-for product to me at the midnight launch. This makes no sense - I had paid in full and had proof of purchase.
The lack of transparency about their policies and the poor customer service ruined what should have been an exciting release day experience. I cannot recommend doing business here. They need to communicate their policies clearly upfront, not after they've already...
