I was not happy with my experience this past time I went there with my two children. This is what happened. They announced that in 15 minutes they were going to close. We were in The Lazy River at that particular point in time. When the announcement was made, all of a sudden the current in the Lazy River started going extremely fast. I am not exaggerating at all. Everyone in their tubes started piling on top of each other around bends and I lost my five year old daughter for about 2 seconds. A drowning could have easily occurred. C B Smith Park, was trying to Usher everyone out of the lazy river, and instead of doing it the right way, they turned on their pumps, causing the current to go so quick. You should have seen the chaos. They're putting themselves in a very litigious situation by doing this. The lifeguards, who are standing there, did not even care. Which I found odd. And then I also realized that they're human beings, and the ones that guard the Lazy River have to stand up the whole shift that they are there, and so they're always looking at other things besides people in The Lazy River. Not only that, but what are they going to do? Jump in? but then have 10-15 people to take care of?? It just doesn't make sense. What they should do, is to tell whoever runs this park to not turn on the pumps again in order to get everyone out of the lazy river. Do things the right way CB Smith Park, and avoid drownings and huge lawsuits!

There was also Pembroke Pines cop, parked illegally on the grass in a unmarked plain vehicle. Everyone who goes there knows the parking situation, people Park wherever they can park. And so I parked behind him, he got out, all angry because I parked behind him. Talk about leading by example! And this was on grass, I was not interfering with any means of Ingress or egress. His attitude was extremely piss-poor and unprofessional. I just kept calm...

We stayed in the campground area for 4 nights first week of May 2021. 50amp E/W/S. A+. Mandatory mask required for check in process. Bring vehicle AND rv license plate numbers in with you when you check in. No greeting, welcome, enjoy your time, have a nice stay.... when you arrive from the office personnel. No information given just to place your registration cards in your car and rv windows. We travel full time and that was unusual for us. There were some unattended parked trailers in campground. Others looked like they had been there a while, like maybe they were long term campers? There were spaces open every night and it did not feel crowded in the campground area. We did feel it was a safe place to camp and noticed night time security driving around. The public free internet was excellent! Water park, playgrounds, safety park shut down. The driving range was closed two days while we were here. They were opening up May 5 but required mask be worn outside on the driving range. Mask required to play putt putt golf outside. They had covid 19 testing drive ups going on daily with 40-50 cars in line to get tested each day while we were there. Made us a little uneasy as we wondered if we were in a particular infected area where everyone is feeling sick in town that so many people were getting tested daily?! We used the walking and bike trails in the park but go early b/c it's hot and humid here. We were hoping to be able to paddle on water in our kayaks. It isn't allowed to kayak on the water at the campground. You can paddle on the water outside of the campground. Traffic outside the park was insane, lots of crazy drivers in this town. Enjoyed the wildlife in the park, iguanas, ducks, peacocks, birds, ducks, turtles etc. Big box stores for shopping & restaurants easily accessible. Beautiful park area, not sure we would return to camp here unless it was for just an...

This interaction with this female security guard at CB Smith park is very time. She encounters me or sees my truck. She's my RV and she's always on attack. You and she's always following me. She's always asking me what I'm doing here. There's no reason for you to question me. When is open park? When it's apart for the public, then she wants to tell me that nobody can come in at this time. After she follows me when there's people around here. Exercising and running around doing the same thing. I would do when I come to the park. And now she's. Saying that she's reporting to me because I guess I asked her what's her problem with me. What's her personal issue? Because I don't know her so she took that person on and she says she's gonna report me now. Go ahead and report me, I'm not doing nothing wrong. I'm not breaking no policies. I'm not breaking the law. I'm doing what I supposed to do. Coming to a park just like anybody else. You try to talk several lies with her. She speaks over you, she don't let you talk. She wants to try to have full control. Of the conversation or whatever it is that she's trying to demand for you to do. It's ridiculous. I don't even know how she even lasted long. At this point with this job being a security officer. She's not even fit to be a security officer that could be a security officer. Extreme extremely disrespectful towards me. I don't know how she is towards anybody else. But what makes she's extremely disrespectful for no reason because I don't know her, just like I told her to her face, but I guess it's just cause she don't like the way to be the only reason because I haven't done nothing to anybody here. I'm very respectful to everybody. And anybody that knows me can...

A Walk in the Park Visit to CB Smith Park 🐾(📍900 N Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL) Free to enter during the week, but there’s an entrance fee on weekends and holidays. Open 8am–7:30pm ( hours may change seasonally). Dogs must stay leashed, but the walk is nice, about 2 miles with a mix of shade and sun. There are numerous restrooms throughout the park, many of which feature human water fountains and even beverage machines. 🚫There are no dog water fountains or poop bag stations, so please be prepared and bring your own. At the shelters (and some random spots), there are water spigots. Helpful for cooling off, just make sure to let it run a few seconds since it might start HOT 🥵 This park has a lot to offer to humans as well, mini golf, camping, a water park, fishing, sports courts, and more. #OffbeatDogWalks #AdventureDog #DogsofTikTok #SouthFloridaDogs #SouthFlorida #SoFLoDogs #DogFriendly #HikingWithDogs #NatureVibes

I love this park! I've been coming to this park since I was little. It's a beautiful park and it is well set up. There are so many things here: Paved paths for walking/running/biking (with a marked 2 mile loop that tells you the distance each quarter mile), picnic tables, pavilions, playgrounds, RV grounds, little bridges, lakes, workout area, kids play area, tennis courts, racket ball courts, basketball courts, water park, mini golf, driving range, batting cages. The main entrance includes all areas except the mini golf, driving range, and batting cages; those have a separate entrance with no gate entry. This park is well-maintained. I love that this park is dog-friendly because my adventure dogs like to go on outings with us. This park is perfect for outings alone, with your dogs, and/or with your family. One area that I wish was better regulated is the dog-friendly aspect of the park; the county regulations require dogs to be on a leash that is a maximum of 6 feet. Some people let their dogs be off-leash. I recently saw someone let her 2 off-leash dogs into one of the lakes in the park. These types of things are what turn many dog-friendly places into no-dog places. Please keep your dogs on their 6-foot leash or go to a leash-free place. I have had limited interactions with staff at this location. The only day I have ever had an interaction with a manager at the entrance gate on a weekend, he was rude. My brief interactions with staff at the gate on weekends have otherwise been pleasant. The staff at the driving range/ mini golf counter are always friendly as well.
