Hi, I purchased a living room set from El Dorado back in June 2017, a couple of weeks after the couches were delivered, I called them back because I wanted to return them. Tons of feathers were coming out of the couches on a daily basis, I even sent them pictures, I have a two year old daughter that kept getting scratches from the feathers that were sticking out of the couches. They told me that they were going to take care of this issue, that there was no need to return them, unfortunately I believed them and up to this day they keep giving me the same story about how this is going to be resolved but we are in November already and they are still not letting me return the couches or taking care of the defect in this product, they keep blaming the manufacturer but I didn't buy from the manufacturer, I bought them from El Dorado, so they need to support the products they sell. Today I spoke to an employee, Giovanny, who told me that I could not return the couches because it's been over 90 days, I explained to him that my intentions from the beginning were to return they but they told me that the couches were going to be fixed. He then told me that I could speak to his supervisor but that whe was going to tell me the same thing he literally hung up the phone on me right after. I called the store again and asked to be transferred to his extension and he said that he didn't hung up, that he was trying to transfer me to a different extension. I am really upset because there is no respect to the customer, I've been paying for these couches for 4 months already, and they are not cheap, as I told them, I would really like them to just take their couches, I don't want to have anything to do with El Dorado or their defective expensive furniture and horrible customer service. I’ve been a loyal El Dorado customer purchasing multiple pieces of furniture including a dining set, moving bar, rug, and more all of which I insured through the store’s warranty program. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the Pembroke Pines location has left me completely disappointed and frustrated.

During my original purchase, the sales agent strongly encouraged me to add the warranty, explaining that it would cover any accidental mishaps that occurred in the home. I was told it would provide peace of mind and full protection. That turned out to be completely misleading.

When I discovered a crack on my dining room table, I contacted customer service and was advised to report the damage as an accidental incident that occurred while moving the furniture. I followed this instruction exactly, only to be told by the warranty department later that my claim was denied—despite having accidental coverage. It became clear that the warranty is full of loopholes and appears to be designed to benefit the company, not protect the customer.

Mr. Andres castiano who identified himself as the store manager was not helpful at all. He stated that he wasn’t responsible for what his employees tell customers, and made it clear that he wouldn’t assist with resolving the issue. There was no accountability, no ownership, and no effort to make things right.

I’m now left with a damaged dining table, a useless warranty, and the feeling of being completely misled.
