Had been here before but this last time was very disappointing. So much so that I won’t be coming back for indoor dining or at all. After using their waiting app and checking in with hostess, we were told to wait outside for a text alert. 10 minutes later, the hostess comes outside and lets us know she almost gave away our table but luckily she saw us outside (text was only received a few minutes prior-so why give away table, they used to go out and use a microphone or at least yell the party’s name before giving away a table after check-in). After being seated, waitress gave our menus but didn’t spend more than 2 minutes before just leaving us to “decide” what we wanted. She came back 10 minutes later after we all sat dwindling our thumbs waiting to place an order (the place wasn’t noisy or that packed, so we felt like she was purposely ignoring us). The coffee mugs was left with no coffee so half the table had no drinks. The waitress had to be waved down after we realized she wasn’t bringing the coffee carafe since she started serving new customer with coffee while we kept waiting. I did enjoy my kale apple juice surprisingly my favorite item out of the whole meal. The water cups were dirty (one had a water ring in the middle and mine had items floating in it after I poured my water from the carafe). The carnitas omelette had really dried pork meat and the traditional meal had overcooked eggs. My mom asked for medium well but meant over medium, but I guess both my mom and the server didn’t know the right terms for cooking eggs so I can forgive that part. My sweet pecan salad was sour and salty (never ordering that again if I decide to come back) and they barely put any shredded cheese (had to ask for more as well as syrup for the lemon ricotta pancakes (which they forgot to bring). Brought my little cousins for birthday brunch to a place that I was hoping would be a delightful discovery for them but we were so underwhelmed by the food and service that I didn’t even take pictures after the dirty cup of water. On our way out, the worst brunch was met with an equally unhappy exit when paying for our meal was met with a confused billing situation since they threw out our copy of the receipt (instead of handing it over to the customer) which resulted in us waiting for a manager to reprint my bill. My credit card alert didn’t match our bill amount (usually the tip isn’t added to the alert amount). My little cousins might try a different First Watch since they think this was a quality control issue or staff...

March 2019 Update

The restaurant took our complaints seriously and reached out directly to me via email to share specifics. A couple of weeks later, their regional manager reached out to me and sincerely apologized for our bad experience and acknowledged that much could’ve been done to make things better. She (the manager) asked me and my family to give them another try and we did. The experience was once again what we were used to, the food was great, the service was courteous, reasonably expedient, and the bathrooms were clean. The fact that they acknowledged our concerns and took the time to reach out is what made me value them once again, because a business that listens to its customers is what proves that they are trying to be better, and that’s something I appreciate. We’ll be back.

This place used to be great. Not anymore. This place will have you waiting more than an hour for food, they won’t apologize. They’ll get your order wrong and offer subpar service and not even discount your check. The bathrooms are filthy and the you can feel your feet sliding on the slick floor because of how poorly they clean it. I ate here with my family twice in a week, Sunday and Friday, and both times the experience was horrid. In fact, the second time was worse than the first. This place had its time and now it’s time to move on to a better managed place because obviously present management knows very little about how to...

I have been a First Watch customer for a very long time. I am sorry to say that the Pembroke Pines site will never again get me or my family as a customer. Today I added myself on the waitlist that the webpage advertises . I was sent a text say it would be 30-45 minutes. I drove there in 20 minutes. When I arrives I was told it would be 30 more minutes. I waited well into an hour and still had 6-7 parties ahead of me. I saw the community table become open on one end with 4 seats what I needed for my party and I went to sit at it. Told the waiter that was servicing it that I would be taking those seats he acknowledged at me and kept cleaning the table. We sat only to be told about 5-8 minutes later that we could not sit there because there were other people waiting. I asked about the community table and the fact that it has always been an open seating table and was told that he would get the manager because he was “not going to argue with me”, inspire of the fact that I was just asking a question. The so-called manager proceeded to come and tell me that was no longer the policy and the community table was not open for self seating any longer and that we had to move. This was all two hours after I had registered online and was told it would me 30-45 minutes. Terrible customer service, Poor planning and poor communication on behalf of every single person I came across during this...

My daughter and I went for the first time today. We got there a little after 11:00, but due to it being Spring Break the restaurant was pretty packed. We found 2 seats at the bar, and placed our order about 10 minutes later. The waiter asked for patience, as the kitchen was slammed. It took about an hour to get our food. My daughter’s french toast came first, but didn’t have butter on the side, and the server didn’t bring syrup. At this time they brought my side of grits and told me the rest of the food would be out shortly. I waited another 5+ mins for the rest of my food to arrive, at which point my grits were already getting cool. I ordered the traditional breakfast and although my eggs were cooked a little more than I’d prefer, it was still delicious. We will definitely be back, although I think the servers need to pay a little more attention to the smaller details (like condiments/extra napkins/drink refills). I know they were busy, but they seemed adequately staffed, and flagging a server down when you needed something was not an easy task. I gave 4 stars because I went long periods of time needing a drink refill, got my grits before the rest of my meal, and the other small details mentioned above. Picture of my traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs.

The ambiance is excessively noisy (which makes me sit outside, but then nobody comes to serve you), and the service is excruciatingly slow. It's baffling that they never have black tea available, especially for a breakfast restaurant. It's evident they either have a shortage of staff or suffer from severe organizational issues because I've visited numerous times across different locations, yet the service remains consistently poor. While the food is decent, you have to cross your fingers they don't mess up your order and deliver it promptly. Unfortunately, I find myself repeatedly leaving negative reviews, but it seems they couldn't care less as nothing ever changes. Look at my “sunny side up” egg. Not. Such a pity, because the place is great, but th tardiness, the awful service and poor food makes you want to never come back. And have I given this place many chances!
